Yesterday, marked another era in my asrama days as an orang tua :)
Moved from the 9th floor to the 8th floor. Tapi move pon bukan la sebab apa...
no problems with my Jordanian roomate. Dia mmg baik dan ok :D Tade masalah. Cuma sebab my UPM colleague sorang ni dah start duduk asrama gaks. And oso like me, buat PhD. And oso like me, kaki pancing sekali sekala. Hehehehe. So rasa, maybe lagik ok kalau dok ngan dia, plus nanti senang nak share masalah2 research dan gak idea2 bernas pasal pancingan ikan. So, bye2 tingkat 9, and ello tingkat 8 :)

Anywayz...

The room that the both of us got is quite ok :) Really2 ok as not much effort was needed to clean it! Masuk2 dah cukup bersih. Plus, keadaan almari, katil dan jugak lain2 was in good (if not excellent) condition. So, since tak banyak benda nak kena buat, we got settled in quite fast :)

Nanti later2 insya-Allaah, I will post some pics of our room. Now keadaan bilik kira lagi ok compared to tingkat 9. Cuz my roomate ada bawak karpet dari rumah lama dia. More homely la so to speak :) Nanti lepas ni nak bubuh ikan dalam akuarium, plus nak bawak masuk benda2 haraaam!!! (cth: fridge dan gak rice cooker) hehehehe... so lagi macam kat ghumah...

Azam tahun 2008!!!

Tadi saya dok belek2 kat desktop saya ni. Tengok tak ada apa on the desktop, saya pon masuk pulak dalam C drive. Lepas tu dari C pergi ke D drive. Maklumla... kalau dah ada kerja (proposal final PhD), mmg ada je kerja lain yang ndak dibuat ye dok :)

Anywayz... dok masuk2 dalam kopmuter, terjumpa itu dan ini... saya terjumpa 2 hasil kerja tangan saya yang saya rasa mmg kalau saya nak cuba buat balik... memang dah tak buleh. Kalau buleh pon, kena amik masa 34 bulan nek belajar balik :)

Pada masa yang sama, rasa macam takjub pon ada jugak. Sebab nampak macam o.k. jugak kerja tu. Cuma sedih pon ada pasal tak maintainkan skill tu, sampai akhior-nye, lupa... dan silap hari bulan, mmg buleh hilang dalam memori :(

Tapi tu la... saya lepas dok terpikir2 pasal 2 hasil kerja saya tu... mmg terasa yang banyak skill2 yg saya ada (tak kira la basic atau advanced), mmg macam dah karat. Kalau tuan2 dan puan2 nak tau, cakap BM secara formal pon dah karat! Haha!!! Cakap omputeh pon dah macam omputong... mmg dah lari sana sini grammar.

Anywayz... saya rasa lepas ni nak cuba dapatkan balik salah satu skill yang saya rasa saya dah hilang. Tapi tak sure lagi apa dia. Skill main bola? Skill volleyball? Skill melukis? (Tak pernah ada pon... Doodle2 ada la.. plus kasik rosak Mat Nabil nye sketch masa kat meeting jabatan dulu (Sorry mat Nabilll!!!!)). Skill bercakap? Hmmmm....

Skill bercakap ENGLISH!!! Kot2 yang ni saya buleh dapatkan balik. Sebab apa, hari2 saya bercakap. Kalau tak bercakap... macam mana? Nak makan kena cakap kat orang tu kita nak makan... Nak pergi toilet kena cakap kat lab mates, pasal kalau SV tanya, apa dia orang nak jawab? Nak balik, kena tau cakap gak, pasal nak kasik salaam kat bebudak lab yang muslim!!!

Keliling saya ni memang penuh ngan orang2 yg tak gheti cakap BM! Member Arab ada 3 dalam lab ni, Bangldesh sorang dan Iran sorang. Supervisor saya India, tapi dia terel cakap BM. But still... communicate dalam BI.

Okes. Ini la kot azam baru tahun 2008. Masa Januari takde azam, so belatedkan ke Jun la.

Saya ingat nak cuba letak only 2 (or maybe 1) entry on my blog la. I mean, just make one entry visible :)

The reason... well I think if I make too many appear on one page at a time, nanti readers might get discouraged by the small scroll bar. (tq mat Nabil for the pointer). Furthermore... it might be able to help display more targeted and relevant links for my Adsense insya-Allaah. Because after all, that's how Adsense works :) It will show ads that are closely related to the content of the page... Basically the theme at hand.

So maybe displaying only 1 page or 2, the ads might get more targeted... provided there exists ads for the topic that I'm posting. LOL! :P

Annnywayz... regarding the Money Back Guarantee... I will insya-Allaah be going to GNC this evening with En Azrul Hazri Jantan. Don't know what will happen, as this is Malaysia. Maybe the store owner might come up with some other excuse (because I've opened the Protein Powder perhaps?)... Or maybe some other 'stool' argument... tak tau la.

Tawakal saja la pada yang maha Esa :D If He decides that I get the money, then bagush la :D But if not... wat to dooo? :D

Okes... Now I will continue buat-ing my PhD proposal refinement.

I have reason to be so thankful, for with His permission, the GNC sales rep (Mee See from GNC Malaysia) called me just now... Firstly she mentioned EXCHANGE... but after I politely explained that I had no interest in other GNC products... EXCHANGE was transformed into REFUND :) Again, Praise be to Allaah :D

So, tomorrow insya-Allaah I will go and ask for my money back. Well, it won't be money I think. It would just be my credit card being credited... (or is it debited?). Hmmmm....

Anywayz... I have learned a lot from all this actually. Among the lessons that I've learned (and hopefully some of you could also benefit from, where relevant):

  1. It always pays to keep your head, and not just start yapping at the first sales-person who messed up your purchase. Be polite in correspondences... emails and phone-calls should not be harsh. Harsh requests get Harsh replies,
  2. RENNET is actually permissible based on Imam Abu Hanifah's opinion. Even though his student had different views, Imam Abu Hanifah said that, even though the RENNET is extracted from an animal (except clearly haraam ones like Pigs and Dogs etc...) that is not slaughtered the Islamic way, it can still be consumed! ... BUT! It's best to abstain :D,
  3. Stuff made from MILK is not necessarily halaal. This is rather unfortunate... because who could ever think that MILK can become haraam? I have discovered that, some processes involve the use of animal derived substances... and mostly, all these processes are done overseas, not under any Halaal Organization's supervision or at least, observation,
  4. LECHITIN is actually animal based, unless stated otherwise!!!
  5. the "E" based food additives (e.g. emulsifiers, conditioners etc), are mostly non-halaal... or ENTIRELY non-halaal,
  6. FLAVORING!!! Mostly, if not stated as being from plant origin, then it's from animal origin. So no for vegetarian and vegans :( And also Muslims :D,
  7. You can actually get in contact with the companies directly if you have any questions regarding the production of their products!!! :D
And many more, but I also don't remember oredi :D

Anyway, this was an interesting experience. The back and forth emails with GNC... The phone calls with their customer service... The questions I asked some "shieks" here in USM regarding what to do if the powder was indeed haraaamz :P

OH! And the REFUND I got :) This is actually something you won't see that often in Malaysia... but I think it will be on the rise soon. As Malaysia consumers are getting smarter by the next-inflation :D

I'd like to thank some of my frens who have guided me along the way... to stay straight and not to go astray... even in these so called "small" matters (hey, if you get small2 barakah or pahala, it will insya-Allaah help shorten your Hell-time... rite? :P)....

But actually it ain't that small la bila pikir balik... because eating non halaal stuff is clearly not allowed in Islam. And I know that most people, would prefer to ignore the small signs and just 'hantam' your ways thru the food section at the supermarket. Cuz, yeah, I understand... it would be weird to really2 study the food label... to make sure it's entirely halaal. And it would also be weird to suspect that a cake mixture could contain pig-derived ingredients. All of this is ... UN-natural to do...... and its soo inconvenient!!! Besides... many think that... God is so lenient....

I heard in a ceramah once... (and I'm sure most f you have also).... During the last days (which is happening now I think), the weird people will be the ones getting the good tidings in the end. Those who go the extra mile to ensure the basics are all set straight... and also those who go the extra mile to learn the intermediate and advanced rules. Those who put in seemingly 'trivial' effort to ensure the right path is followed.

I don't mean to preach or poke anyone's nose here... But I think it would be worth it to be weird... at least a bit.. not much :) At least in the area of Food Selection for starters :D Cuz like another ceramah-er mentioned... "God sees what you do, even if it's as big as a small mustard seed" :D So why not after this... we start to get a bit weird... Of course not for all foods... but for food that we have some doubt over :) Look and INSIST for the halaal 'chop'. Tak kisah la JAKIM, THAILAND or AUSTRALIA.. or even JEPUN kalau ada :D For me, as long as there's an organization saying that it's halaal, then it's OK :D But if they have only that "HAA LAM ALIP LAM" (like on the new Twisties apa ntah...), then I think it should be avoided. I mean... why risk time in hell and polluting your body over a snack/junk food that doesn't have any certification? Seriously... kalau buat slow2, lama2 jadik habbit. It's also like what Anthony Robbins is saying in some of his tapes....

Nuero-Associative-Conditioning :D Hehehehe. Jadikkan habit n in the end jadik natural.

Haaa... ok dok?

Anyway,... back to the point of God being lenient... tetiba teringat pulak bab ni.

Well.. I believe that God is merciful. But He's also not a fool. I mean.. He's GOD for GOD's sake :D He gave us brains to think... to make the best decision possible. If there's something that we're unsure about... the message was clear in the prophet's last sermon... refer to what he left behind... the Quran and Sunnah. There's actually no reason not to anymore nowadays :) There's Google... Google a 'hukum' and insya-Allaah you will find it. But of course, you need to filter the goods from the bads... Cuz not everything from the Internet is true aa :D

And if you don't beleive the Internet, go and ask a sheikh :D Or an ustaz. You must know someone... But in case you don't, then realize that ure messed up a bit and go and get to know one :D Preferaby today :D

Beleive me, it will be worth your while :D

No matter what... I strongly believe that the effort counts as something... as a matter of fact, something BIG... as we are striving to get something straight. To get the truth! Even if in the end, even if we accidentally received false information and accidentally ter-BEDAL a particular haraam food... we already know that we did our best to find out. And the only thing we could do after, is to repent (I think), and not eat that particular food anymore :D ... Furthermore, lepas tu we would know better on how to look for info... as the previous search yielded something lacking, the next search (if presented the chance) will insya-Allaah be better :)

Sure2 masuk dalam book punya :) And yeah,... I think we never know... that maybe these small things, can have a high account during the day where we stand in front of the all mighty, to answer some q's ... and also to see how our scale tilts :) More sin than barakah? Or the other way round which is more preferred :D

Fitness and Fatness

Haaaa...

If you're fit, then most probably you're not fat. BUT! U can still be fat whilst being fit :) But mostly no la... cuz if yer fat, that means you are not eating and exercising right. And most probably also you are a smoker or an over-eater :)

Anyway, if you want to be fit... just simply choose not to be fat. The choice is simple, yet not easy for most :) As I am now still struggling to choose to not be fat and instead be fit... just like Marathon-runner-Triathlete Hairul Azwar Hashim Mustappa. :)


Oh! And also regarding the topic of muscle a.k.a. otot2. Muscle is good. If you have lots of muscle, then that would most probably mean you have very2 little amounts of fat! Which is good! Because that would most probably make your vascularity very2 noticable! (vascularity ni maksudnye nampak urat2 darah terjojol jojol).

Tapi ni bukan badan saya la. Ni mamat mana ntah yang flex muscle kat Internet. One day insya-Allaah, buleh jadik macam ni. Something like Sudin from Pendekar Bujang Lapok?

But aa... there is also the case of being a muscleman BODYBUILDER! Being a moderate natural bodybuilder should be ok, because you are not going for a massive physique. BUT! If you are into the mainstream PRO BODYBUILDING SCENE, where Steroids mmg macam susu harian, then you would be very2 ugly to the eye. Becuz who on earth can say that this is beautiful?

Hmmmm...

Anyway, choose to be fit :D Not fat like me. I too want to be fit, but I am now battling Mr PALL MALL 14 (Pall Mall Lights 14 batang nye rokok), and also Mr and Mrs Oily Foods incorporated :D Anywayz, insya-Allaah one day I will prevail... and insya-Allaah I will open a fitness center for men and women... lain2 bangunan so that takde malu2 :D

Ok. That's the end of today's NON-PHD work. Dang... ada je kerja lain nak buat selain buat kerja PhD ek? Termasuk la membebel pasal fitness, fatness dan otot :)

Inconsistent with the GNC Website?

Ok. I would like to write in English, as I am hoping when somebody (especially in Malaysia) Googles for a GNC Store in Malaysia... might (just) stumble across this blog. :D

I am writing with reference to my previous post, whereby I accidentally bought an animal based product which (from my research), turns out to be haraam, or highly syubhah (doubtful) :|

I am referring to GNC's money-back-guarantee and return policy.
And how one of the GNC stores in Malaysia is going against that clearly stated policy.

After reading these websites... I was thinking that it would be possible for me to get a credit card refund of the Whey Protein product I purchased. Since it's clearly stated that I can get the refund... all I had to do was to go back home and look for the receipt... Alhamdulillaah, I still have it...

But to my amazement!!! There is one particular fine (but not so fine actually, cuz its quite big!) print that says GOODS SOLD ARE NOT RETURNABLE NOR REFUNDABLE.

Uitsss???? Buleh ka ini macam???





I mean... wait a minute. The mother ship (http://www.gnc.com) is saying that you could get a refund... and here is the Malaysian Branch at Sunway Carnival Mall Penang saying that... NO! WE WON'T GIVE YOU BACK YOUR MONEY JUST BECUZ YOU BOUGHT SOME ANIMAL PRODUCT!!! Hmmmm....

This has caused some perplexity... as how can a branch shop, have their own set of rules? ... Or is this the 'normal' Malaysian rule where... when you buy something, and you find out you accidentally bought crap... then TOO BAD :( Well... I don't think I'm going to let them off the hook that easily. I mean... come on... GNC states on their website about the Money Back Guarantee... and they also say that I could RETURN the product (for a refund or an exchange), no questions asked! But why is this receipt... saying that I cannot return or refund the product?

I have brought this matter to the attention of GNC... where I've mailed the GNC Livewell online customer support. I hope to get their reply first before going back to that store... PLUS! I will now PRINT these web-pages, and then bring them to the GNC store for more leverage :)

Anywayz... let us all make doa for me, so that everything goes well. Because if not... maybe some legal action can be taken against them (the store I mean) :D

Halal dan Haram Jadah

Baru2 ni, saya ada pergi kedai multivitamin dan supplement. Kat kedai tu mmg takdak certification halal atau apa apa. Tapi saya ingat buleh buat keputusan sendiri based on benda yang nak beli.

Masa kat situ, saya dan En Azrul Hazri Jantan ada tanya pasal status halal. Minah melayu sorang tu ngan kon-di-fen-nya mengatakan kedai tu dapat status halal secara keseluruhan. So sebab tu takda la chop halal kat produk2 dia.

So saya pon nengok la... product yg saya nak beli ialah:

1) Whey Protein
2) Multi-vitamins

Kisah Whey Protein

Tapi saya end up beli Whey Protein aje :) Melalui research saya yang singkat pada dulu2 kala... saya faham Whey Protein ni dia extract daripada susu :) So... saya pon ingat kalau susu, maka tak apa la. Macam mana susu buleh jadik haram ye dok? Lagipon, saya pernah tanya orang GNC (EH! Tersebut pulak nama kedai :P) kat Ozitralia dulu... dan dia kata kalau protein2 yg berasaskan Whey ni, mmg dia takde guna daging menatang (yg halal maupun haram) dalam ingredients dia. Lepas tu, dengan konfirmasi dari awek kedai tu yg mengatakan barang2 dia halal... maka saya pon beli la.

Tapi memang Tuhan nak kasik saya sedar supaya jangan makan benda haram (jadah)... maka saya tergerak la pulak nak check secara mendalaaaam. (tapi dah beli dah :P).
END UP! Memang kebanyakan Whey Protein ni (especially Whey Protein Isolate kalau saya tak silap)... cara dia extract is by using rennet. Rennet ni, datang dari menatang :( And selalunya, memang dia akan gunakan rennet dari babi, sebab ygn tu paling murah dan paling mudah didapati. Dayemmmm....

Lepas tu pulak... saya check kat Internet, memang produk jenama yang saya beli tu, dia orang kategorikan sebagai haram... sebab gunakan rennet berasaskan menatang... Oh, btw... yang saya faham, kalau guna rennet dari anak lembu pun (which is another alternative)... kira haram gak... sebab GNC takkan la nak sembelih anak lembu tu ye dok. Sah2 dia guna cara sebelihan yg tidak mengikut cara2 Islam.

Oleh yg demikian, memang saya dah terbeli benda haram jadah. DAN! Saya dah terbedal satu scoop pon protein tu. Hiah!!!

KISAH MULTIVITAMIN

Ni lagi satu. Saya sendiri pon tak check dulu... dan terus buat konklusi ianya halal. Ye la kan... saya mana la nak tahu Multivitamin pon leh jadik haram!!! :P

Saya beli jenama CENTRUM... A to ZINC. Lepas dah tau protein powder saya tu haram, maka the flood-gates opened! Tarus saya check multivitamin pulak. Nengok2... memang jenama yang beli dan dah makan 3-bijik tu... haram jadah gak. Chiats!!! Sebab ada gelatin... tak kira la gelatin babi ataupun kuda belang... haram la jugak pasal mmg there's a 98% chance that the animal which the gelatine was from sah2 dibunuh dengan cara bukan Islam. Lagi satu produk haram dalam koleksi.

Anywayz... ini lah dia benda yg saya baru alami. Yang protein tu, ingat nak pegi kedai tu balik dan tanya balik minah jaga kaunter tu... mana dia tau benda2 ni halal? Konpom ke tak haram? Kalau dia kata ya... maka saya akan cuba karate kepala dia tanpa sentuhan fizikal (which is impossible I think...). Lepas tu ingat nak cuba mintak refund. Tp tu la, benda2 ni leceh... dan saya tau akan makan masa. Oleh yg demikian, saya nak atur stratergi dulu tentang apa yg patot dibuat.

As for multivitamin tu pulak... nak buat camno.. dah memang jual kat pharmacy :( So sama la gak kes ngan Protein Powder tu... maka saya kena atur stratergi dulu sebelum bertindak... Tu pon kalau bertindak. Hehehehehe....

Anywayz... kesompolan nya disini ialah....

Kepada rakan2 Muslim saya sekalian... donia zaman sekarang ni mmg dah penuh dengan produk yg umat Islam tka buleh makan. Kalau nak check sampai ke lubang cacing memang susah... tapi at least check sedaya yang mungkin. Jangan buat macam saya... lepas beli baru terfikir nak check (tu pon Alhamdulillaah Tuhan kasik hidaya soh check :P).

Check kat Internet dulu sebelum beli :) Gi la GOOGLE dan query lah ... CONTOH: "Is Centrum Halal" ... ataupun "GNC PURE PERFORMANC 100% WHEY PROTEIN HALAL" .... nanti nampak la result2 yg patot. Kot2 haram jadah, senang cerita takyah beli :) Carik alternatif... Kalau halal.. Alhamdulillaaah. Buleh beli. Kalau tak keluar status halal haram... pon senang... toksah beli :) Kira syubahah la tu ye dok :D

Hmmm... lepas ni mmg kena berjaga la nak beli apa apa. Saya yang Whey Protein tu mmg tak sangka :( I mean something from susu kok leh jadik haram!!! Kesian susu tu... dan gak saya yang dah terbeli.

Lagi satu yg saya risau... saya kenal ramai orang yg ke gym, utk bina badan ataupun nak jadik fit. And many of them take protein supplements to complement their diet... tapi in the end... dia orang tak tau benda2 ni haramz. Sekarang ni saya rasa macam dah ada duty pulak nak suruh dia orang check. Nanti kat gym saya kasik tau la kot kat mamat2 Muslim yang mungkin guna protein powder. Furthermore, bukan hanya protein... other supplements pon are doubtful... Macam Creatine Monohydrate, Meal Replacements dan rakan2 yang sewaktu dengannya.

Hmmmm... takpa la. Nak buat camne? Lepas ni saya kena samak ke mulut saya ni? Ke macam mana ek? Sapa2 tau dok :P Plus... kena tobat ke? Saya tak pandai sangat bab2 agama ni, jadik sapa2 yg leh kasik nasihat, mmg amat2 dialu2kan :D

Okes... marilah kita sama2 berjuang utk carik makanan halaaal....

PS:- kat food2 court pon jangan assume halal... kalau ada sijil, baru la hantam makanan tu. Kalau takde... banyak lagi yg lain yg lagik konpom halal. Cuz we never know... and the prophet also warned us in one of his hadeeths by saying (something like) that zaman sekarang ni penipuan berleluasa. So kena jaga2 ya :D

Udang Masak... Senang :)

Ya tuan tuan dan puan puan... Hari ni, Chef Trox akan ngajar korang semua cara masak Udang Masak Senang. Ngapa pulok nama dia Udang Masak Senang? ... Sebab memang senang nak masak. Kalau tak pandai juga masak nye, mmg tak buleh la pak cik nak nolongggg.... Sebab pre-requisite nak masak udang pesyen ini ialah... kebulehan memasak air 101. Baiq!!! Mari kita mula dech....

Mola2, tuan2 dan puan dikehendaki mencari bawang putih dan bawang meghoh. Kalau takde bawang2 ni, maka tuan2 dan puan2 kena carik bawang beso kaler merah dan.... japs... apa yg leh ganti bwang puteh? Hmmm... takde pengganti saya rasa. Jadik, kalau takde gak bawang puteh, maka takpe... pakai je bawang meghoh atau besar tu... cuma kurang kick sikit aje...

Kasik potong2 itu bawang2 :) Lepas dah potong2 bawang2 tu... buat macam saya... yakni ambik gambo bawang :) Sebab tu la ada gambo macam kat bawah ni ha. Alhamdulillaaah.

Lepas dah potong... potong pulak bawang merah saiz beso sikit. Ataupun, kalau takde bawang merah saiz besar... potong la bawang besar :) Tapi kan, sebenonye, setelah 14.5 tahun memasak ni, saya tak tau nak bezakan effect bawang beso VS bawang merah dalam proses menumis... adakah sapa2 buleh kasik saya tau apa beza effect dia? Baik terima kasihhhhh (Sleng Indonesia Baik dan Benar)... O... dan ye... ambik gambar lagi dan kasik orang tengok macam yg saya buat utk gambar bawang di bawah ni. DAN! Lupa plak... pergi kat luar dan amik daun kari sikit. Saya ada pokok kari isteri saya tanam. Kalau tuan2 dan puan2 takde pokok kari... pergi la beli ataupun rembat sedikit (dengan kebenaran) daripada jiran sebelah :)

Haa... Untuk udang... maka tuan2 dan puan2 kasik la season sket ngan (Black) pepper dan garam. Kalau nak bubuh White Pepper pon ok jugak la kot... bergantung kepada preferansi masing2 :) Tengok gambo ni macam mana saya buat. Dan... jangan pulak la pi buang kulit dan kepala udang tu... nanti jadik tak cantik lepas dah masok :( ... Tapi sekali lagi, suka ati mader fader masing2 la nak buat apa ngan udang tu. Sedangkan Lidah lagi tergigit, inikan pulak kulit udang ye dok? (Apa aku peribahasa P Ramlee niii....)

Lepas tu, macam biasa... tumis la bawang putih dan merah yang telah dipotong kekecik tadi. Kalau tak biasa menumis, pi nengok camne orang rumah atau mak atau chef Ahklaken tumis. Kena belajar tumis2 ni, tak kira muda, tua, lelaki, wanita dan ZZZ.

JANGAN MASUKKAN YANG BAWANG BESO DAN DAUN KARI TU LAGI!!! Kasik bawang putih dan merah2 yang kekecik tadi tu naik bau dulu... dan kasik kaler2 cekelat muda. Jangan sampai cekelat TUA! Sebab tu mmg makna dah hangus la bahan tumisan. Maka kalau dah jadik begini, tuan2 dan puan2 terpaksa la menanggung rasa pahit yang akan ditinggalkan oleh ramuan2 hangus ini. Tapi takpe... masih buleh dimakan insya-Allaah.

Masukkan pulak udang... dan kasik masak sampai kaler oren. Sesetengah orang kata kaler merah... tapi saya personally rasa macam oren saja :( Tapi takpe, janji kaler dia dah berubah jadik warna yang agak panas2 suam :)

Lepas tu, masukkan lah bawang merah dan daun kari tadi. Masak la sehingga masak :) Kesudahannya, insya-Allaah akan jadik macam ni :)

Saya testing kasik isteri dan anak (dan kalu tak silap adik ipo pon ada kot masa tu?) makan... Alhamdulillaah, takde yang muntah ataupun muntah darah merah atau limfosit :)

Jadik, kalau tuan2 dan puan2 nak coba, maka dipersilakan lah :D DAN! Kalau la skill tuan2 dan puan2 lagik hebat (yg mana saya rasa memang ya insya-Allaah), maka ajarin lah saya bagimana mau kasik sedap masakan2 yang serupa ini :) Tambah kunyit sikit ke, tambah cili kering giling ke, tambah madu ke.... apa2 la :D

Gym USM - 2



Hari hari Jemaat ni, saya ingat nak bubuh satu entry lagi la dalam blog ni :) Kali ni saya sempat amik beberapa gambar dekat DALAM gym USM. Dah buat beberapa member baru, yang kebanyakkannya OTAI2 belaka!!! Yang sorang tu dah 78... Sorang lagi 61. Dan yang paling muda antara otai ialah 46. Lepas tu ada beberapa yang bukan otai gym dalam linkungan late 30s dan early 40s :)

Anywayz, yang umoq 78 tahun tu nama dia En Kamarudin (kalau saya tak silap la). Umor lanjut2 camtu pun, memang nampak fit. Takdak perut terbonjol, dan lengan dia nampak steady lagi. Takdak bongkok2 dan buleh angkat dumbell2 dan buat tricep excercises lagik. Respecto! My new role model :) ... Pas tu plak... dia ni bapak kepada si Loyer yang handle kes Altatunya Sharibu tu... Apa nama loyer tu? Hishamudin? ... Anywayz... mmg respect ini pak cik :)

Yang umoq 61 tu, nama dia Rash/Raj... tak tau eja, pasal dia sebut aje. Anywayz, dia ni upper body memang besaq. Bahu sampai dada memang macam bodybuilder. Cuma tang perut aje... nampak macam lain sket :P Anywayz, he is very2 helpful dan sangat2 suka bercakap dan kasik tips tentang macam mana nak guna machine :)

Mamat sorang lagi ni... aramak... lupa nama. Tapi dia ni kerja driver TNC kalau tak silap. DAH ADA CUCU lagi... umor baru 46. Kira ok la tu ye dok :)

Anywayz, ni ada gambar 2 equipment yg saya nak cerita tentang kegunaan dia. Bukan apa, sebab mesin pertama ni mmg buleh kata wajib guna la kalau g gym. Mesin kedua ni pulak saya suka sebab buleh digunakan utk bentuk V Shape Torso :)


Yang ni nama dia SMITH MACHINE. Guna dia utk exercise chest muscles. Kalau masuk gym, selalunya mana2 program akan suruh buat ni dulu utk a particular weight session. Kalau tuan2 n puan2 nampak, dia ada horizontal bar tu kan? Yang tu utk letak weights... dan keistimewaan Smith Machine ni ialah, kita buleh 'main' sorang2 tanpa ada 'spotter'. Sebab apa takyah spotter... sebab dia ada tempat nak cangkuk bar tu seandainya kita dah tak larat nak angkat :)

(Spotter tu maksud dia orang yg tunggu kita masa kita angkat barbell... tapi hanya kalau kita buat chest excercise guna free weights... yakni barbell yang tak attach kat mana2 mesin. Sebab at one point, muscles kita akan takleh angkat dah, dan tugas spotter la utk pastikan baru tu tak jatuh kat atas dada kita lalu mati di tempat kejadiaaaan).

Anywayz, mesin ni mmg best sebab saya buleh buat sampai otot2 saya cecah failure, which is actually crucial for muscle gain :)


Yang ni pulak, saya rasa laa... nama dia Lat-Pull Down. Guna dia ialah utk latih otot bahagian belakang, dan jugak otot yang kat sebelah sayap/wing kita. Cara guna dia ialah kita tarik bar tu ke sebelah belakang, ataupun depan kepala. Teknik dia mmg perlu dilatih, tapi kalau dah lama2 buat, tau la nanti camne :)

Yang best nya mesin ni ialah ianya jugak buleh digunakan utk train triceps :) Antara otot yang paling saya suka. Hehehehe :)

Okes... dan yang ni ialah gambar2 saya snap kat Gym dan luar Gym.

Keperluan Untuk Kembali 'FIT'



Setelah saya berfikir utk beberapa ketika... saya rasa mmg macam nak tulis surat lah pada penggawa di desa siswa RESTU (asrama) tempat saya duduk tu. Bukan apa, nak mitak permisi utk bawak barang2 letrik yg dia orang larang bawak!!!

Sebab apa... saya rasa macam nak testing masak dan makan secara sihat atau separa sihat atau tiga suku sihat. Sebab laaa ni, mmg dah kurang sihat cara makan. So, kalau dapat separa atau suku sihat tu mmg kira improvement lah ye dok? :)

Anywayz... ini dia list perkakasan2 yg mungkin saya perlukan:

  1. Peti Sejuk Mini - yang kecik cenonet tu pon ok saya rasa. Utk letak chicken breast (atau keel), sayur2an, dan juga ramuan2 marinade,
  2. Griller Elektrik - Ni nak cari kat mana tak tau... Saya ingat nak beli satu yang macam En Azrul Hazri punya (George Foreman grill), tapi kat Malaysia saya tak sure kat mana ada juai. Tapi takpa... buleh dicari,
  3. Rice Cooker - Utk masak nasik atau bubur of course :)
  4. Blender - Utk blend smoothie atau minuman yogurt
  5. Microwave - Hehehehe, kalau dapat bawak ni mmg best aaa.
Tapi, tu la... nampak macam banyak sangat... takut2 direject. Tapi bak kata Mas Rina Mustaffa binti Tajudin Ramli Aklaken... "Nanti jangan menyesal pulak lepas ni dengan soalan2 what if?"... :)

Oleh yg demikian, saya pon rasa mmg akan tulis ini surat ASAP. Cuma tu la, reason utk jadik fit? rasa2 adakah penggawa akan memahami? Kalau beliau orang yg fit, mungkin lebih senang utk beliau fahami. TAPI! Kalau dia pon jenis semi-couch-potato? Bagimana sihh.... :(
Tapi takpe... tulis surat dulu.. hantar... N give reasons PLUS! Surat sokongan dari Doktor? Haaaaaaaa.... ok ok... I might be able to come up with some sort of scheme.... ok ok. Something is 'brewing' in my head now... Will let U guys know once the brew finishes simmering :)

Anywayz... itu lah alkisah entry kali ni. Sapa2 yg ada pendapat tentang bagimana saya buleh kasik reason tambahan yg lagi kukuh? Mmg amat2 dialu2kan :) Tp reason yg tak tipu la... pasal kalau tipu... baik takyah mintak kebenaran ye dok :D

Gym USM

Alhamdulillaahirobbil aalameen :) Tadi saya berjaya jugak menarik buntut saya yang berat ini utk ke gym. Tidak seperti dulu dulu kala... di mana saya memilih utk start gym with cardio session, kali ni saya start ngan weight lifting session :) Cardio kita reserve utk hari lain :)


Result dia... a very2 fun and happy workout :) sebab takde terpikir2 nak kena lari for 20-30 mins while maintaining a 'fat-burning' heart rate :P

Saya nak ikut nasihat kawan saya yang sekarang dah jadik jagoan triathlon, dan juga yang dulunya saorang yang gemok macam Bab... hehehehe. Tapi sekarang dah fit macam Rabuan Pitt masa peak time dia. Basically, kawan saya ni suruh enjoy what Ure doing... And since saya mmg lagik suka angkat besi dari pi lari2 atau naik beskal setempat... maka saya pun decide baik angkat itu besi2 ye dok :)... WALAUBAGAIMANAPON!!! The cardio will have to come in... sebab kalau tak kang, lemak akan susah dibakar... dan saya akan kumbali jadi badan macam Ba Alip yang kita tau tidka cantik. :D

Anywayz... GYM USM pulak... fulamak... Baru renovate dan baru upgrade mesin2 dia. NAUTILUS lagik tuuu brand dia :) Lepas tu pulak, ada sorang mamat ni bernama JEGA (mmg qualified trainer) yang jaga. Tak macam gym2 yang saya pernah nengok di UPM dan UKM... takde qualified person jaga... Hanya makcik2 dan pakcik2 PA dan cleaners yang jaga. Oleh yg demikian, mmg equipment tak termaintain sehingga koyak rabak dan hancur berkecai sesetengahnya.

Annnywayz... maybe satu hari nanti cantik balik la kot gym UPM dan UKM tu. Harap2nya insya-Allaaah.

Okes. Esok saya nak pergi kardio pulak... maybe lari2 kat trek USM (RAJINKANLAH DIRI ANDA WAHAI TROXION!!!!). Since gym USM hanya MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS and FRIDAYS jer laki2 leh masuk... hari2 lain khas utk awekz2 sahaja, tak kira tua atau muda :)

Rambut Richard Gere atau George Clooney

Saya ni udah lamaa tak update blog ni. Bukan apa... hari tu ada kursus 1 minggu kat MIMOS. Internet connection ada masa kursus tu, tapi takkan nak main blogger pulak ye dok :P Nanti maraah orang2 sekeliling dan si Mat Sallahe presenter tu. Tapi takpe...

Lepas tu pulak... paper saya ke IEEE ICSC2008 (International Conference on Semantic Computing) kena reject. Tapi mmg patut kena reject pun, sebab tak cukup eksperimen. Itu jugak memainkan peranan dalam saya tak updatekan blog. Sebab dok repair2 based on reviewers' comments utk dihantar ke local conferences pulak. Saya dah pun modify dan kasik hantar kat CGIV2008 :) Doa2kan le dapat ye :D

Berbalik kepada topik post hari ni... RAMBUT!

Saya ingat lepas ni nak testing bela rambut pulak. Selalu butak chin. So sekarang ni... nak testing ada rambut. Tapi kepada sapa2 yg dah lama tak nengok saya... jgn la terkejoot. Sbb kepala saya dah nak sama kaler ngan George Clooney. Hua hua hua!!! Cuma orang mmg syok nengok Clooney rambut kaler kelabu... tapi kalau saya, since bukan Holiwud star... mmg orang akan kata saya ni cepat sangat tua (Padahal mmg dah tua pon!!! Tua berumur 31 pada 30Jun 2008!!!)

Sonyum pulak awek ni. Dia perasan ke dok ye saya tangkap? Tapi mmg bukan tangkap gambar dia la... saya dok cuba dapatkan gambar semua orang kat belakang tu secara curi2. Hehehehe. Kang bini aku ingat dok cuba snap gambo anak dara orang plak (Btw, dia ni bukan anak dara. Anak dah 2... dan time gambar ditangkap, dia tengah pregnant anak ke 3!!!)
