My attention has been brought to an issue... one concerning ubiquity :) Ubiquity of a fashion induced confusion... and sorry to say... is affecting women. But please do not label me as a male
chauvinist pig, or someone who naturally belittles women! I am no such creature. Because every time I hear a man saying bad things about women... I quickly ask them... "
Is you mother not a woman?"... then I laugh and eat my food :D
Hahahahaha!!!
Anwyayz...
I would like to talk about the weird fashion surrounding
hijab...
or veil (tudung) wearing girls :)
My post is not to preach for non-veil-wearing women to wear veils (
even though that would be good), but instead, I'd just like to voice out my point of view regarding the 'confusion', or
STUPIDITY of some veil-wearing
muslimahs who are making a mockery of the whole concept of
aurat itself.
It seems that in today's society, the concept of
'tutup aurat' (or covering up) for women would mean...
SIMPLY... to wear the
tudung. I have to disagree that putting on the veil would solve the
aurat problem itself :( Of course, it is usually the last place most women decide to completely cover up... but in all, it will not solve the problem of
aurat as a whole.
As a matter of fact, I think just by adopting this notion is outlandishly fallacious and in some (MANY!!!) cases, a mockery to
Islam itself. (
Please do not conjure up opinions that I am against the tudung. I am ALL FOR it! I even considered beating up Datuk-K to ge to Siti when she decided to cover her head. Hua hua hua! Ok, jz kidding...)
To cut things short, many veil-wearing-women in Malaysia (
and also around the world) seem to have failed to capture the concept of the
hijab, and covering up itself. I mean...
ok. Wearing the
tudung is a GREAT step towards getting closer to
Allaah...
Alhamdulillaah! :D But when you cover up your hair, and let other body parts loose... I mean...
Ok... something might not be right here... but where? Where is it not right? ...
oraitey... now I see it (them)... the other body
partssss... other than the
hairrrrrr.....
I know... everyone sees this, and many have written about it. But I am going to be blunt. Very2 blunt :) (
Sorry in advance if I might offend anyone).
I would first like to bring forward an example that maybe (
AND HOPEFULLY), only married people would be able to directly relate to. Non-married people can of course... indirectly relate :D
When a man and a woman get in bed together... will the hair be the body part that is most paid attention to
first?
Ok... some might
caress the partner's hair a bit before getting on with whatever it is they want to do... but the main point (or
POINTS) of attraction for men, will not be the top of the head!
Betui tak? Unless of course there is a TV-set showing Liverpool vs Manchester United popping out of yer wife's forehead :P
(At the same time also, I won't be saying which parts are of more interest lah... because that would be too blunt :P and also it is a matter of personal preference. Hahahahaha! ok ok...)
Anyway, the point being here is that... some cover their hair... but let other parts dangle. They cover their hair, but wear tight slacks (seriously, slacks are more 'revealing' and interesting to view compared to jeans :P) that clearly show the shape of the buns and the curves of the thighs and legs. They cover their hair but put on jumpers and t-shirts that CLEARLY show the shape of the
boobies... They cover their hair but at the same time showing the '
valleys' of revenge (I personally saw this yesterday at a USM bus stop. Of course (
I DONT KNOW WHY!!!!), I only looked for a while during the first gaze. Bila dah ada chan, takde plak tengok lama lama... ish. Hahahahahaha!!!!).
In all, they cover their hair, but let the other... more desirable parts show (or, most of time... covered up
tighly :P)
This is the confusion that I am talking about :) I don't know why this confusion can even exist for those who
choose the way of the veil... because IMHO, the very act of choosing to cover up must have been motivated by the perception that one is 'revealing' too much to non-deserving parties, and one fears that this will incur the wrath of the Lord.
But in the light of the
fashion world today, I am able to understand why this is
happening. With the influence of the media, the west of course,
bollywood, peers as well as
Barrat Obama (
ok, I don't know how he fits into the picture here), some veil-wearing-women sometimes justify in their minds that as long as there's a piece of cloth covering the hair... all is
ok :) I mean
hecks... this happens with guys too... only our case normally goes along the line of wearing shorts (
and I have to say that fortunately, we do not have that much to show anyway :P).
At the same time of writing, I also realize that there is also the faction of people who will say... "
Oh COME ON guys! GROW UP!!! Get used to it!!!".
I beg to differ here. Compare a
7-year old innocent boy, and a
NORMAL 19-year old hormone raged teenager (
and also, 35++ year old men for that matter :P). If a naked sexy bikini model were to be put before them, who would you think would shut their eyes and blush away in shame? I really2 think the older guys would RUN AWAY IN FEAR!!!!
hehehe... yeah rite.
It's the very fact of GROWING UP that makes the world population prosper! Men get attracted to women (especially when provided with visual stimuli)... and vice
versa. Only grown up people can 'appreciate' the opposite sex in a manner of physical appearance. So, gowing up is in proportion with physical attraction. But of course, growing up is different from growing OLD... as the hormones start to diminsh during this period, and mostly... many 'drives' are slowly put to rest :)
So, at the same time some women are asking men to
not to get too interested in the female-physique, at the same time also they are asking us men to try our best to
'horny-ize' ourselves so that the world's population will not diminish :D I mean...
macam betul la
kan?
Kekekekeke.... A different point of view... but somehow true.
Anywayz... back to the point of
revealing-veil-wearing-chicks. I am not saying I have a solution for the issue. And I am not saying that I am an
alim ulama as well :P And I also cannot guarantee that people closest to me (family, good frens etc) are not one of these people.
I am just voicing out what I think. I don't think that is a crime. even in Switzerland :D All I am saying is that... it's a confusion :) Really. And from here, I can sometimes infer that some non-veil-wearing-girls are smarter... in a way
lah. Because even tho they are not wearing the
tudung... but they are not making a mockery of the concept itself. But of course... an extra bit of cloth won't hurt :D kekekekeke....
Ok. Tu
je kot. I know guys also
ada issues... if U think there are and we don't realize them, plz bagi tau :D Insya-Allaah, I (and hopefully all other gusy) are willing to accept. It's easier to judge other parties than you own self (or 'species' for that matter)
Okes.
Panjang sangat dah. bye bye!!! :D
