This is a story about a person... How would you judge this person? I will give a few examples of what the person will normally say. Firstly, he/she will give an initial statement about something. Then, after a period of weeks, months or even years, he/she will give a totally contradictory statement. Being a supposed authority in his/her field... it's weird that such statements are actually being uttered:

Initial statement:

This is a well done job! It's worth more than what the face value is. This person has outdone herself. Great work person X!

Contradictory statement: (while also referring to the same work):

Owh. Do not follow this work. Although much time was spent on it by myself and person X, it's quality is questionable. Do not refer to it. It is (almost) rubbish!

Initial statement:

This thing you are doing is not worth a single cent! You will be in trouble if you continue like this. Beef up this thing you have or you shall not see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!

Contradictory statement: (while referring to the same work, which was not modified that much)

This is what we should aspire to. This is what  I was expecting. We shall place the bar here. After this, all works should AT LEAST be like this one!!!

Initial statement:

You can do this without using technique XYZ. It is not necessary to use it if you can get the job done. So go ahead and ignore XYZ. Go as you please but make it gooood.

Contradictory statement:

Why have you not chosen to use complicated techniques such as, say... XYZ? People are looking for techniques such as XYZ nowadays you know... So, use XYZ or else you dieeeee!!!

Initial statement:

Congratulations on having been selected for award X! You are a very good employee!!!

Contradictory statement:

Owh, after thinking about it, I don't think you deserve that award. I wonder why they even considered you for that award. Sorry to say, but from my expert knowledge, you truly do not deserve it.

Initial statement:

I am totally interested for you to go work at place XYZ. It is a very prestigious establishment!!! It will give great opportunities for you, as well as myself since we are linked in discipline. Go there, and I will provide the initial funding.

Contradictory statement:

Owh, after looking into it (and after the employee has sacrificed everything in order to go to company XYZ), I have no interest in this place. You can go if you want to. Use your own money though.

These are very2 interesting facts obtained by one 'employee' during the duration of his/her stay at 'company ABC'. Of course, the statements came from his/her 'boss'. Given a similar situation, how would you judge this 'boss'? Anywayz... just food for thought :D Ok, not really food... sorta like ruined food... or something like that :D hehehe. Okes. Shelamaaaat. 

Is it just me, or is it the cough and cold season again? I thought I was alone, but it seems that my roomate also complained of having some sort of sore throat... and we haven't met each other since the last 3-5 days! Another lab mate also has throat related problems, where his voice now sounds like Rod Stewart.

Anywayz... I must say that this time around... I think the sore throat and cold symptoms that I'm getting are kinda toned down a bit. Used to be worse where I'd be phlegming and sneezing like there's no tomorrow. Maybe, it's due to my qutting, and not smoking real cigarettes (actively) for almost 1-month now. Hmmmm... mongkin jugak iye? Anywayz... insyaAllaah, all these penyakits will be gone within the next couple of days. And after that, I think it's the first time in years that I am actually NOT LOOKING FORWARD to smoke a stick of fag :D

But still... it's a tough battle to totally and really quit smoking. I know one guy who quit for 2-3 years.... but in the end restarted his 'engines' after being given some free rewang cigarettes at a wedding reception. I know of these situations far too well. But this time around, I have my e-cigarettes. Harap2 they can help me NOT SMOKE THE REAL DEAL when those crucial moments arrive.
