Chef Nor Shazwan and her De Longhi :D

Assalaam aleykom WBT and a very2 good day :)

A few days back, I, my wife and Farhanah went to the newly established Jaya Jusco in Bandar Perda... just somewhere off Bukit Mertajam. Eh, or is it IN Bukit Mertajam? Hmmm... Not sure. I am orang kampung Bandar Baru Bangi... yes, that is a good alasan.

Annywayz...

My wife was talking about making kueh raya for the up-coming festive season insya-Allaah, so she thought a bigger and better oven would certainly make her happy :) I also agree, because sebelum ni, Cik Wan kita buat kueh raya and small cakes only using our Toaster Oven yang kecik cinonet itu. I am very2 kesian. So, I agreed lah with her decision to go out and get a bigger oven :) Tapi ni bukan saya belanja la... ni Cik Wan yg beli sendiri... sebab dia dah saving utk berapa kian lama nya sudaah.... I was the tukang angkat and tukang bantu buat pilihan sahaja :D BTW, bawah ni ialah Toaster Oven yg digunakan utk buat kueh raya pada last year tahun lepas :D Something like ours la... onlye ours is the red kaler one :D

Asked my friend Azhar bin Abdul Raof (a.k.a. AT) on what type of oven to buy... GAS or ELECTRIC? My pseudo-chef friend suggested electric! This is because, you can control the temperature and heat settings easier using an electric oven. Kalau gas... agak susah katanya. Furthermore, you can do a whole lot more with an electric oven!!!

Firstly I was thinking about Gas, because I knew gas ovens would be better for my wallet... with lower electric bills and all :) But then again, why always think about wallet... wallet will get hole also one day! Hua hua hua! Besides, my wife won't be using the oven 24-7! So... OK lah! Get ready to be electrified...

AT suggested to buy the electric oven at Jusco... as Carrefour and TESCO usually up-kan their prices on electrics and electronics (sebab dah kasik murah tang wet market). So, thats why la we all ended up in Bandar Perda punya Jaya Jusco... :D

Annywayz, pergi ke bahagian electric and electronic... Looked at a few models. We were searching for ZANUSSI! Tapi tak kejumpaaan pak. The next best choice was... DE LONGHI! Hehehe... I think it's KENWOOD punya spin-off la, because the warranty text mentioned Kenwood somewhere. So, end up beli lah De Longhi... Quite a sturdy looking oven... :) Quite big also, kira bila masuk troli tu, penuh terus lah!

The next day, Chef Nor Shazwan tarus mengganas tanpa segan silu :) Dibuatnya kueh2 raya yang amat banyak! And tu baru testing phase! Kekekeke.... Ye le, dulu guna toaster oven, can only make sikit2. Now got De LONGHI!!! HIAH! Get ready Kimasami!!! (who ever Kimasami is...).

Okes... ini dia gambau. Layaan.... OH! Lupa plak... berikut juga adalah picture2 gambar ayam Rotisseri (Golek) dan Macaroni and Cheese yg dimasak dalam oven berkenaan oleh Chef Nor Shazwan :D Memang terlioq! Alhamdulillaah dapat bini terel masak :D Okes... Selamat Berbuka Puasaaa (pada jam 7 lebih ya... jgn buka tang matahari tegak kliwon atas kupalaa)

Sayur Brocolli Garlic. MARBELES! I lub U lah daling yg pandai masak :D kekeke

Ini dia saya punya 1st serving. Of course lepas tu ada 2nd n 3rd :D

Alhamdulillaah... walaupun dia bedal kulit ayam je mostly, janji dia makaan... :D
