Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1

Assalaam aleykom WBT :) Last nite, I had no mood to write or do anything PhD related. Therefore,  went online to see what was showing at the nearby Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC). The nearest was Queensbay Mall, so I reckon I'd try to get a ticket there. Considering it was a week night, I didn't expect the cinemas to be full. But apparently I ter-forgot that it was a Wednesday night, where the ticket price drops down to RM6.00 per pop. Crickey!!! But Alhamdulillaah. There was one empty seat dekat row-row yang agak belakang at Cinema 1 (which is one of the biggest cinemas they have). So OK la since I was going alone. Owh, and the movie was HARRY POTTER and The Deathly Hallows - PART1... Rotten Tomatoes showed a percentage of around 85% kalau tak silap and IMDB scored the movie with an 8++ (I think). So, might be worth a watch...

The red rectangle is where I sat. This was not the actual layout of the seats that night. But it was pretty something like this. 95.86% FULL HOUSE jugak la...

Kira nasib baik jugak la masih ada tempat yang kosong. Bought the tickets through the GSC E-Payment Ticketing service for RM6.50 (RM0.50 was their service charge ke apa ntah). Sitting beside me was this one couple, where the girl wore something under-wear like. Not to say I was distracted (hey, I was surprised too)... but I just wonder how some people could go out of their houses wearing such attires. Tapi takpe.

So I watched the movie... and to my amazement... it was not that interesting. I mean, for me at least, it was kind'a flat. There were some interesting moments, but overall... I think it was a bit flat. I didn't quite see the normal story buildup... from introduction, followed by plot buildup, climaxing with whatever climaxing plot, and then exiting with a finale showing a decrease in the movie's pace. But some may argue that this is PART-1 of the Deathly Hallows... so memang kena macam tu. Tapi ntoh le... I think it should've been better :) But in all, takde la boring. Just a bit flat for a 2-hour 37-minute movie :D

Anywayz... itu lah kisah movie ini utk saya. Overall, I'd give it a 6.47/10 :D Kira ok la tapi idok le seronok mana. Hopefully the next installment would be better and Harry will finally get to kill Lord Voldemort!!!! Hua hua hua!!! Eh, ada pulak muka dia kat bawah ni.... Okes... Sehalamaaat....

PREDATORS - nice cast but UNCENSORED?

Last night I went to see PREDATORS at Queensbay Mall, Penang (GSC Cinema). Weirdest thing... I felt like I was brought back to 1991 @ the 'tender' age of 14... watching Terminator-II Judgement Day (at the cinema)  and hearing Linda Hamilton swearing her head off using the so (in)famous F-word. Last night, surprisingly... the movie was NOT CENSORED! I don't mean censoring of the 'skin'... but of the language. Sama macam masa tengok Terminator-II!!! At first, when the first F-word came out, I thought the censorship guy/gal was a bit late pressing the silence button... after all, it was a bit inaudible. But when the second, third, fourth and fifth F-words and F-word-inspired-words started to fly around, it started to make me wonder... "Is there a new policy for 18-SG movies? Where in order to maintain it's 18-SG-ness... no censorship is done about the profane language?" ... Or is it just in Penang? Ntoh le.

There was also one part of the movie that I thought would normally warrant censorship. One of the characters was playing around and showing off a tattoo on his stomach (or was it his chest?). It was of a topless gal he so much revered - who in the end, according to him, was his sister (this character is a sick convict destined for death row btw.). Since the illustration of the breasts were quite vivid... I thought it also deserved to be censored. I mean, even Kat Von D's LA-Ink and  Miami Ink gets censored for such things, right?

Aaanyawyz... that was the story last night about censorship... or lack of it is more like it :) The movie? It was entertaining. There was a bit of a twist to the plot, though... but I don't think it made much of a difference for the overall flow of the film. The cast? Wallaweh... quite star studded jugak. Siap ada Lawrence Fishburn (The Matrix - tapi belakon kejap je...), Adrien Brody (The Pianist), Topher Grace (Spiderman 3, That 70's Show) and also Alice Braga (I am Legend)... and also mamat chicanos yang selalu jadik pelakon pembantu tu... Danny Trejo kot kalau tak silap (Anaconda). Overall, I think the movie was OK la... I give a 6.5/10 for Predators :D Ok tak score tu rasa2nya.... Oraits.... Assalaam aleykom.

The Karate (Kung Fu) Kid

Last night, at the very last minute (~9:25 pm), decided to catch a movie at Queensbay Mall, Penang :) I actually wanted to see Toy Story 3, but since the last show was at 9:35 pm, so memang tak sempat lah. After browsing the now-showing menu a bit, I suddenly remembered that Rotten Tomatoes gave Karate Kid (played by Jaden Smith) a 70++% rating. So, since Toy Story 3 (which got 100% when I last checked) was out of the loop, I decided to go watch Karate Kid (version 2010) lah!...

Quite surprisingly... the movie was very enjoyable! I even didn't mind Jackie Chan's bad English! The plot is guessable for those who know the original Karate Kid (or even Malaysia's copycat of Bujang Selamat played by Faizal Hussein :P). But the way they tweaked the whole thing was very2 impressive.

Firstly of course, it's no longer karate. Kung-Fu was the martial arts in this movie... and since the whole thing took place in China, it's a perfect fit I reckon :) I also thought that Jackie Chan did a good job playing the sifu role... and I also liked how Dre's (Jaden) character evolved from a jacket-dropper (U need to watch the movie to understand this) to a kung-fu exponent! And the "special move" at the end ... walawehhh.... it was quite impressive. I ended up involuntarily saying "fulamak...." when Dre delivered the final blow... Oh... and the crook also looked macam budak jahat betul, which adds to the experience.

Anywayz... in all, Karate Kid 2010 is a movie worth watching in my book :) Of course don't expect heavy drama or anything (although the movie does deliver some drama)... Action-wise, I think is sufficient.... Plot-wise... also quite nice as you won't mind (I won't mind, that is) to see the movie again say, with a tv-dinner?

Oh... and another thing that I found most interesting. This kid is a CARBON COPY of his dad Will Smith. I  mean, really!!! From his gait movements, facial expressions, blank-ness-of-face-look, etc. Mmg sejibik Will Smith... with the exception of the dreadlocks that it :D Anywayz... I give Karate Kid a 7.8966/10...

KRU: Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa - impressive trailer!

Assalaam aleykom :D This is sorta my first attempt at crticizing a film. Worst, it's not even the film itself... but only the trailer. Hahahahaha! But since I've nothing else to blog about... hantam saja laaaaa....

I have to say, that I have never looked forward to a Malaysian movie... but for this particular one, based on the trailer lah, macam tak sabar pulek nak tengok iye tuan? (Istana Takeshi style dialogue). KRU Studios will be releasing their latest blockbuster movie, HIKAYAT MERONG MAHAWANGSA on the 30th of Spetember 2010 (according this this source). The trailer seemed to be quite interesting, with unfamiliar (whihc is a change) looks in makeup, scenery, better slo-mo action as well as what seemed to be an international cast? The visual effects and cinematography also looked nice...

But of course, I am saying all this exclusively based on the trailer and nothing else. I maybe wrong about the movie's 'interesting-ness', as we have been let down by a few malay movies before. Nontheless, I hope that this movie will meletup and will be a paradigm shift in the Malaysian movie industry. KRU have been trying to out-do themselves with movies like Cicak Man, which to me, is a very-very good effort. For Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa, let's just see how it fairs. Hopefully it can match even international contenders in aspects such as theme, storyline, effective acting... dan lain lain (As you can see, I suck at all this because I am no film critic. Hua hua hua!)

Okes... in pure Malay fashion, let me state that harap2nya jangan la trailer je gempak... tapi woyang dia macam haprak!!!

Anywayz... a nice trailer. Assalaam aleykom...

Miley Cyrus a.k.a. Hannah Montana and PhD :)

Assalaam aleykom WBT :) And a very good day to all... Alhamdulillaah, had a good drive today from Nib. Tebal to USM. I must say that the (almost finished) improvements made to the bridge has certainly made the traffic a whole lot more bearable for bridge-folks :) Used to be a crazy bottle-neck from the toll plaza entering the bridge, but now... just by adding one (or is it two? tak perasan pulak...) lane(s)... things seem to be clearing up :) I can even leave my house at around 7 a.m. and still be able to catch the "good-flow" onto the bridge.

Anywayz... Today's post is not about my drive or the 20-something-year old Penang bridge. It's about Miley Cyrus and her song... THE CLIMB :) And as you can see from the title... ada relation la pulak between M.C. and oso P.H.D. Hehehehe... what de relation? Okes....T'is like this...

Evertytime I hear her song on the radio (or on my phone. I know lagu bebudak... tapi ok gak apa melody dia :P) one part (the chorus ke? Ke apa ke ntah orang panggil...) relates to my current situation really well:

Ain't about how fast i get there
Ain't about what's waitin' on the other side
...
...
...
It's the climb.... Yea yea yea yeawooo yo yo ala gazambo and the rest...

So I think all PhD-doers can oso relate to what I'm relating to. If cannot? Okes, I will explain.

Actually... the PhD is not about how fast you finish it. Some tho, are genius enuff to finish before time (which is great for them! syabbas!). I have no rows with them. But just don't make that a yeard stick of the quality of the degree :) Don't be:

"I did it in 2.33-years! Wallaahooo!!!!"
... Or...
"Saya habis PhD saya umor 21 tahun awak tau dok.... [disusuli gelak setannn....]" etc.

And it also ain't about the DR that you're gonna get at the end of the journey... The Doctor of Philosophy is a great title to achieve, mashaAllaah :) But it all don't end there... T'is just a beginning :D Don't expect or be:

STUDENT: "Selamat pagi Dr. Takrom Bilaghlul"
...Or...
STUDENT: "Encik Mat Samid.... saya nak tanya...." [DR MENJAMPUK DENGAN GANAS]
The DR: "HOIT! What did you say? I didn't spend 4-years for some half-brained paramecium to call me ENCIK!" - ni exaggerate je ni... hehehehe. I myself will never do this insyaAllaah.

Someone once told me (A professor) that it's the training that we get during the PhD is what matters. How to do the research. How to get yerself into deep dung, and then get yerself out of it... and at the same time emerging triumphant!!! Yeahooo!!!! ... In short... sama macam apa Hannah Montana kita kata la... IT'S THE CLIMB!!!!! (Perasan tak, kalau buang 'L', jadik nama bank! HAHAHAHAHA! ok, iklan je tu...). Pendek kata, it's the journey that counts :) Tak sangka she can make a PhD song. Hehehehehe...

But of course, hopefully we get a good "travel guide". Some are fortunate enuff to get very2 good ones (DLYNN!!! AKU JELEESSS :P). But for the vast majority, most have to climb on their own. But nonetheless, it will be a good journey also insyaAllaah. Good guide or bad guide... the climb will be challenging nonetheless.

The main supervision that we need of course, is from the ALL MIGHTY ALLAAH :D Ask from him, and insyaAllaah all will be well.

Orait. anyway... itu lah kisah Miley Cyrus dan PhD :D T'is da climb MAT NABIL TAJUDIN!!!!

Salaam

Watchmen 2009 - Review by jawatroxion

I am keeping my promise from my previous post :D

Watched Watchmen :)

I must firstly say that the fighting scenes were quite good. Fast paced and each bad guy (or good) ends up being beaten up rather dramatically.

But in all, I found the movie a bit dragging... but dragging at an  above average level la. So that's kinda ok la kot. Sort'a like Lord of The Rings type dragging... you know what I mean? Like... there's not much  UNexpected action happening... and most of the things you can expect to happen... but at the same time, it's not boring :D Ada faham ka? (macam apa aku tulis masa dok chat tadi ngan Mas je? hahahahaha!)

Anywayz... kira ok jugak la kot. But tak la sampai me jumping off my seats! Some parts busan gak. Tapi not much :)

One thing though... there's this Dr. Manhattan character. Mamat ni, he has no clothes on. Why? Because in a sense, he is not hhuman. So, the buns are exposed for a great dael of the movie. And, I don't know... but the "front organ" macam kena blur. Is that cencorship in action? Or mmg the movie macam tu... Ntoh le.

But I know he's actually wearing a suit... that is made to look like this perfectly toned muscular physique. But nonetheless, it's very detailed, and the buns are clearly buns. I think because he's blue in color from head to toe, so blue buns are not included in the censor list... :P

Okes. Movie was over 2.5 hours... The twist (for me), was kinda expected. Actors? Hehehehe... good ones, but I only recognize one of them (the blue guy). Lain2, tak kenai! I tot grade B actors, but turned out they've acted in high profiles movies before!

Markah? Ntoh le. Macam lazy to give marks. But since I am insisting upon myself... so I gif 6.57/10 :D Ok la tu kot ek?

Syabbas Inspector Sahaab....

Watchmen - Now Showing In Cinemas

Will GSC saman me for copying this pic off their website?

Alhamdulillaahirobbil'aalameen...

I've just finished my Thursday seminar session. Talked about my current PhD research progress. It went quite ok considering my lack of preparation. I got some very2 useful and interesting feedback and tips, especially from Dr. Rosalina, Dr. Waffa as well as my beloved supervisor Dr. Mandava Rajeswari :D

Anywayz, as usual, I waited to the (almost) very last minute to prepare my slides. Ended up making around 80++ slides for my presentation. Maybe the fonts were a bit big. And it's been like, three sleepless nights... Aiyo gazambo. I will truly... not underestimate slide-making, ever again! HIAH KARATE!!! Anywayz... :)

Now I want to go tengok movie. The movie ticket, I've already purchased online from GSC. And the cinema of choice is at Queensbay Mall, Penang. Well... not to say cinema of choice la... but since that's the only choice I have here. Paling dekat, and got arcade that houses my favorite tennis game... POWER SMASH 2!!! Hiah! Cuma takde Federer la. It is like... since 2001-02? or 03? Quite old. They have Power Smash 3... but takde orang install lagi pon kat Mesia ni? Anywayz... I am penat. And I need to unwind a bit. Just hope tak tertidoq kat cinema :D

Okes. Watchmen. I came across the website a few weeks ago. Found it after going to the Apple Movie Trailer web page I think?  Seems like an interesting movie. With superheroes and what not. And not to mention the movie involves lots  of "300" people :) Producers, and... sapa lagi ntah.

I will insyaAllaah write a review after selesai me-nengok this movie.

Watchmen... tapi ada woman gak sorang... ke dua... ntah? Patot dia tukar nama geng tu jadik WatchPerson lah... or... Watch-Men-Women-Both... :D

Sudirrmaaaaan....

GENG - Malaysia's First Animated Feature

Haaa... last weekend, pi tengok cerita GENG - Pengembaraan Bermula (Gang - The Journey Begins)...

This time, went with a bigger group:
  1. Myself
  2. Wife
  3. Farhanah
  4. Umi (younger sister in law)
  5. Mak (mum in law)
  6. Abah (dad in law)
As usual, did not put that high an expectation, even tho the buzz was quite wild for the movie. I just didn't want to ruin the experience, for myself :P

Anywayz, went in, sat down at the second last row (just in front of the maksiat prone couple seats :P). In all... I found the movie to be quite good :) I won't rate it together with Toy Story, Shrek or Monster's Inc., but for a first time effort by Malaysians (Les' Copaque)... it was quite an enjoyable feature presentation :D The 3D work also wasn't shabby. Great detail was put into designing the characters, as well as other 3D objects such as houses, trucks, as well as Sapi's (the cow's) bullock cart! :D But of course lah, not as detailed as Pixar's or even Dreamwork's... I mean, Pixar has their own 3D rendering engine (Renderman)... and these companies work in the tenth of millions! Whereas geng... only used like... 4 million?

Of course, in being the first... I did realize some noticable kekurangans :P Among them are:

1. Story line - The whole story is about a few kids, getting lost in a durian orchard, then being chased by 'monsters' into a cave, then facing all the horrific 'challenges' the cave had to offer. Simple... but at times, seemed a bit shallow. Maybe because I've been used to the surprisingly creative way of Dreamworks and Pixar (especially, with the amazing story telling talents of Lasseter). That's where Geng fell short a bit. For me, it lacked some emotional depth. Maybe some things can be done here in the future :)

2. Dragging - The time it took to establish the story was a bit long for my taste. Not to say TOO LONG... but agak long jugak la :P It was quite a while for the real theme to emerge (the journey...). The authors must have thought that establishing the background of the characters was of more importance. But even THAT was lacking a bit as the main characters were not treated with that much depth.

Anywayz... even tho having some drawbacks (my point of view that is)... overall it was enjoyable. Especially for the kids. I mean, my kid liked the movie quite a lot :D And, yeah, some times when I think of it, maybe since the target are kids... so, that emotional depth thinggy might not apply that much kot...

Rating? Well... For me... I'd give a 7.89/10 :D But if I were a kid, I think it would be 8.99/10! :D
Hehehe.

Okes. Apa2 pon, if you haven't seen it yet, then go see la!!!

Salaaamz

Pink Panther 2

Last Saturday, myself, the wife and our little girl went to the cinema at Sunway Carnival Mall, Seberang Jaya, Penang (sebelah darat). Farhanah wanted to watch a movie...

"Ayah. Dah lama kita tak tengok buoyang..."

Buoyang is  how she pronounces Wayang... as in movie :D After relentlessly requesting for a cinema trip, the wife and I finally succumbed. We too had not been to the movies for quite some time. So, since there was nothing better to do... we were all geared up wo watch something.

The first title that came to mind was "Geng". Malaysia's first ever animated feature. I have to say that the Behind The Scenes showed on TV was quite impressive. Hence, we wanted to see what these young animators had to offer. But... unfortunately, "Geng" was fully booked. So we opted for the next best thing a kid could possibly relate to... The Pink Panther 2. But I had continously remind Farhanah that there's not gonna be any pink cat running around for a big portion of the film. She said is was ok, because all she wanted to do was to tengok buoyang :P

So, with below par expectation, and with open minds, we bought the tickets and sat down at our 2-nd row seats (FROM THE SCREEN!!!). Full jugak cerita ni!

The screen was like this huge... humongous...colossal white canvas in front of us... I myself did not imagine the second row was gonna be that close. Tapi takpe, since it was not an action movie, insyaAllaah the pening2 would only be minimal :D

As the buoyang went along, we were quite surprised at how funny Pink Panther 2 was! I mean, I was expecting 75%-80% of pure slapstick lunacy. But, on the contrary, we were treated to a well orchestrated piece of bone tickling humor! I mean, the movie was very funny! And very enjoyable I have to say :) And with the surprise appearance of Aisywarya Rai (well, surprise to me because I did not expect a Bollywood starlet to be acting in an American/French funny movie), it further added to the enjoyment :)

In all, I think I'll give Pink Panther 2 a score of 8.55 out of 10 :D Good humor, minimal slapstick, as well as a very2 powerful cast! I would recommend this movie for anyone looking for a good laugh :D

Lepas ni, ingat nak pergi tengok VALKYRIECam tu ke eja? Sorang2 or dengan bini la tapi. Rasa2 this one is 18SG, so Farhanah x leh nengok.  Anywayz... Selamat n thank you for reading :D

BIGGER, STRONGER, FASTER*

The title above is actually a documentary released somewhere in 2008. When I saw the title, I was a bit perplexed... what bigger stronger and faster? (BTW, saw this on http://www.apple.com/trailers).

Then after viewing  the trailer, I knew that it was a must see movie/documentary.

It basically talks about steroid use (or misuse is more like it) in the US. Yeps... mainly in the US of A. Land of oppurtunity... the land of the free... to free at times :P

And when you talk about steroids, you link it to sports. BEN JOHNSON... is a name that is almost synonymous to anabolic steroids. But I was surprised to know about the ral truth surrounding his Seoul Olympics gold medal disqualification! ... anywayz...

Other than sports, there're also parts of the documentary showing the use of the drug in poultry rearing and also medicine... Whoa... you guys should take a look at the BELGIAN BLUE BULL!!! to know what I'm talking about... it was  soo soo macam Governor Schwarzenegger like...

(Correction: Apparently, the Belgian Blue Bull has a natural mutation that causes the muscle to... not stop growing! Seems that they're not on the 'roids' after all :] Can look it up at Wikipedia

Anywayz... just to say that it was an eye opening documentary. Parts of the film was a bit dragging, but I have to say, since it's totally new info. (for me at least), the bored-meter was never buzzing, and almost always kept to a minimum :)

So, sapa2 yg rasa nak tengok, I would really2 recommend this flick. Among others, it sheds the lights on:

1) What steroids really are,
2) The various steroid freak-shows in town
3) How many of our role-models end up becoming our biggest-let-downs (including the Gov-nor)
4) How you will get so so so disappointed with the ART of BEFORE and AFTER pics (some are even taken in the same day!!! sob sob...)

Oh... and

5) How steroids (or other 'cheating' methods)  are so synonymous with the US of A :)

Okes. Tu je for this time....

So, let us all BIGGER STRONGER FASTER*!!!

PS:- pandai2 la carik video ni... :D Buleh beli legally kat Amazon I think... but other than that... I think U all know la how to obtain :D

Review Movie GROUNDHOG DAY!!! - warning, I am a bad reviewer... meaning tak pandai susun ayat kasik menarik :D

Haa... today I would like to write about one of my favorite movies...
GROUNDHOG DAY :)

The movie stars Bill Murray, the semi-hot Andy MacDowell, Stephen Tobolowsky... just to name a few :) It's about one egocentric weather man, Phil Connors (played by B. Murray), who gets sent to Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania to do coverage on how the world's best weatherman (or weather animal) predicts the coming of spring :) And this day was named GROUNDHOG DAY!!! The weatherman (weather animal) in here is Punxsutawney Phil, the ground hog of course... (binatang ni ada website btw... (http://www.punxsutawneyphil.com/).

Anyway, since Phil (the man) has been doing the coverage for so many years, he starts to get bored and can't think of anything better than to get out of Punxutawney as soon as you can say "Jagonali!"... Long story short, Phil (the man) was a bit annoyed by Phil's (the groundhog) weather forecast... because if I'm not mistaken, Phil (the man) said that it was going to be an early spring. But Phil (the groundhog) gave news of another 2-weeks of snow :( Annoyed by the forecast, Phil (the man) threw some not so decent comments during the news coverage and insisted on leaving the small town immediately.

But as fate had it... Phil (the man) needed to be taught a lesson. The roads leading out of Punxsutawney were closed due to a bad blizzard, flights were grounded (kalau tak silap), and all communication lines were down. So in short, Phil (the man) was stuck in da small town of Punxsutawney (dayem... I try so hard to spell that EVERY TIME!) with Phil (the groundhog)... and also along with the whole crew... Sib bek ada Rita (Andy MacDowell) :P

Anywayz... the most interesting and annoying thing Phil (the man) discovers the next morning, the next-next morning, an the morning after that... is that he keeps on waking up on the same day! GROUNDHOG DAYYY!!!!! ... So now konmpom takleh nak balik. Cuz very day blizzard, everyday comm. lines are down... and worst... everyday is GROUNDHOG DAYYY!!!!! So mmg bertambah frustrated la Phil (the man).

Anywayz... the story revolves around how Phil (the man) comes to terms with his ego, and also discovers love with his producer Rita tadi :) End up... selepas beberapa bulan (kot?) of living the same GROUNDHOG DAAYYYYY.... Phil (the man) becomes more baik n baik. But of course, before jadik baik, he did many bad things lah, including taking a suicide ride over a ravine with Phil (the groundhog) as co-driver. But of course, even in death dia tak buleh escape GROUNDHOG DAAYYY!!!! So lepas mati pon, dia bangun tomorrow to relive the same day :)

Of course, end up everything goes well, and Phil (the man) becomes a good man, and falls in love with Punxutawney. And of course jugak, dia dapat rembat si Rita dan jadik kan gepren (kot).

Ok. Bunyi macam boring ek cara saya tulis ni.. but for those yg tak pernah nengok lagi, bagus gak kalau dapat nengok. I think ASTRO still airs this movie from time to time. Al maklumler, ASTRO kan ke suka recyle bin katmon :D

Okes. Itu saja entry kali ini. Cerita kurang best, but an entry non the less :P

TQ for reading dan Selamat Maju Jaya....

SELINGAN... My first ever (international) conference :D

Hulk vs Incredible Hulk

Figure 1.0: Eric Bana's Hulk (left) and Eddie Norton's Incredible Hulk (right)

Saya memang ada niat nak buat post ni :) Tapi asyik dok terlupa aje. Anywayz, after visiting Mat Nabil's blog, I would like to compare the previous Hulk with the INCREDIBLE Hulk (Eddie Norton).

It is true that the 2nd hulk kicks donkey arse a whole lot more than the first one (portrayed by Eric Bana). But I don't know why, I think I liked the first hulk's 'look-n-feel' better than the 2nd. Story-wise, INCREDIBLE HULK menang HANDS DOWN! :D But, tu la, yang ke-2 tu, nampak too CGI most of the times, whereas the first one was ironically very human :)

But when you really2 look at it, you can see that more gory details has been put into the 2nd Hulk, such as the extreme vascularity and very2 bodybuilder like body fat percentage :P (You can clearly see the Bicep veins). Also, the 3D artists have also successfully shown that, the Hulk is not merely a beefed up steroid taker... but an abomination of uncontrolled repressed memories crossed with gamma radiation poisoning :P Which results in!!! --> Abnormal size increase in muscle mass and 'away-with-the-R-and-B' type discoloration (leaving only the G) of the skin and also pupils (eyes).
(Macam scientific review la plak!!! hua hua hua!)

But again, from a 3D point of view, it looked a bit artificial for my taste :) TAPI! Maybe jugak it was because this time, the hulk lacked luma. Not much light was present in most of the scenes. Unlike the first Hulk, where the fight scenes revolved around crashing tanks and helis in the sunny desert :D The Incredible Hulk mostly fought in the dark (and for those of you yang beli the pirated DVD version, you won't be able to see a thang :P).

Wannywayz :D Cerita dia mmg best. I just hope they add more realism (maybe take some pointers from the first Hulk's 3d artist? :P) when the Avengers come out :D Eh japs, HULK pon a part of the Avengers kan?

okes. Arigato :D
