Al Kisah Unit Trust

It's been a while since I've blogged. Today I am reblogging so that my blog doesn't look goblog-ly empty :) Ok. I want to story about my unit trust agent. I have a UT agent, who is quite different from many agents I've seen before. Even the manner in which he started to promote his business was quite nice. Instead of terusss buat head-hunting, he showed how his investment affected his own finances. For me, there's no better way to promote something then from experience. Anywayz, long story short... now he is handling my Public Mutual UT matters. And since I was also an agent before (tapi lesen dah mati pasal tak aktif dan tak renew), I see him as a good agent who updates his clients frequently, irrespective of investment amount :)

So, kot2 la sapa2 ada soalan about UT, maybe I can direct you to him. Don't worry... no commission for me (this post is not motivated by $$$ iye). At least buleh tolong kawan. He himself tak pernah suruh promo... but kot2 la sapa2 ada questions about UT, maybe can ask him la. He seems to be a good agent. The likes I've never seen before (but maybe I'm just naive, and tak banyak experience dealing with agents? hahahaha!). Ok. Itu saja utk hari ini. Terima kasih.

Ingat nama iniii... Suleiman Akhlaken (this sentence has no relationship with this post)

Response 2 U :) - automatic date update?

I think I clicked on one of the ads on my Facebook homepage/profile page... which brought me to this Response 2 U website (a dot ws website btw...). Basically, this site promotes a program that can make you a millionaire within... somewhere between 33.33 (FULL TIME basis earning 30,000 p/m) to 66.67 (PART TIME basis earning 15,000 p/m) months. All you have to do is respond to their clients. Haha! Yes, just respond. Respond to what? I don't know. Maybe respond to the client's call of nature? Respond to the client's email? Ntoh. Business looks very2 blurry, while promising virtually limitless income! Has the word 'SCAM' written all over it. And yes, of course there are success stories of kids and sometimes old people, who seemingly do not know that much about computers, but yet are making tons of cash just by responding to who knows what...???

Anwyayz, I actually wanted to do this thing for quite some time. It's just I kept forgetting since its really2 not important. Haha! Ok... Basically, if you've been to such sites, they'll say something like:

"REGISTER TODAY!!! THIS IS A LIMITED TIME OFFER. THE NORMAL LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP FEE IS $500.00. BUT FOR TODAY, IT WILL ONLY BE $45.00. SIGN UP NOW AND DON'T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY AND GREAT DISCOUNT!!! THIS OFFER IS ONLY FOR A LIMITED TIME AND EXPIRES TODAY @ 23 JUNE 2010!!! ACT QUICKLY!!!

Well, somehow I accidentally remembered this thing I wanted to do, and I think it would make a good blog post :) Something to share with my fellow friends :) Anyhow, this expiry date thinggy... (in the above example - 23 June 2010) can be really2 effective. Especially if the opening credits are well written and enticing. But in the end, it's another way to lure people to signup @ a supposedly cheap price. Well, the program's normally worth ZIT, so either way the scammers are gonna make a fortune :P

Anywayz, what I did was take two snapshots of the site at different dates. The hypothesis was "If this is not a scam, then the membership fee will go up to the normal RM490". The results were predictable... The two pics below were taken on the 15th. of June 2010 and 23rd. of June 2010, respectively. Notice how the dates have changed!!! Not a so limited-time offer I guess... :D Okes. Shelaamat and TQ for reading iya. Assalaam aleykom WBT.

15th. June - RM69 and not RM490!!! Weh!!! Ni offer baaaikkk punya ni wehhh!!!! Musti join! Musti join!!!

Wallweh? Dia orang dah extend expiry date ke 24th June 2010!!! Lupa join ari tu, baik aku join hari ni!!! Musti join! Musti join!!!

Now I only have 2 Credit Cards

Just finished talking with Akma around 30-minutes ago. Who is Akma? Akma is the Direct Access credit card representative who helped me cancel one of my credit cards :) Previously I had three... Now the Direct Access VISA is gone!!! According to her la... You know la these CC companies. Kang aleh2 two three months after this, ada pulak CC orang pos kat ghumah kite... Aiyaaa... Anywayz, previously I used to have:
  1. Maybank VISA
  2. Direct Access VISA
  3. Direct Access MASTER CARD

It's not that I wanted three... but for the Direct Access deal to go thru last time, I had to agree to receive both the cards. So tu la pasal jadik sampai tiga :) Anywayz, since the government is already imposing the RM50 credit cards tax starting January 2010, I'll potentially have extra (3 x half-a-hundred ringgit) to pay cum my next credit card "anniversary". So, instead of paying RM150 for three cards... I feel more at ease just paying RM100.

Anywayz, now that I have two credit cards... I wonder also... Do I really need TWO? I mean... yeah, the Maybank one only has like RM5,000 credit limit... whereas the Direct Access one has a bit more. So maybe la can have extra credit in case of emergencies....

But then again... betul ke perlu dua ni? All my gaji goes into Maybank actually, so it's very easy to pay off any outstanding balance on the Maybank card before ada interest/riba' kicking in. But the Direct Access one... (a sub of CIMB now DA ni...), perlu ke? Since CIMB account not that active... kalau2 ter-chas, then I need to pay thru Interbank transfer from Maybank. Daah kena RM2 charge (ke RM1 ek? forget...)

Sometimes my logic is this. At times, some credit cards fail due to some 'valid' reasons... Magnetic strip damaged lah, chip kotor and unreadable lah, kad patah lah etc. Tapi sometimes tu, mmg macam no reason at all! Macam time bayar beli baju or something kat Jusco ke.... daah orang2 kat queue belakang ingat kita ni jenis tak bayau utang. So in times like these, it would be a bonus to have a second card, aye? (or at Jusco, can use Maybank ATM card oso... Alhamdulillaah)... :D

Another reason is because sometimes (ni dulu2 la orang cakap, donno whether it still applies nowadays), only VISA is accepted at certain places. Kadang2, only MASTER CARD is accepted. So, by having both handy, we can avoid this problem if it ever arises :D Ada botoi ka? ... Tapi kan, in all my years owning CCs ni, belum pernah pulak melalui detik detik cemas sebegitu. Hmmmm....

Anywayz, apakah pendapat dan opinion para readers (harap2 ada la readers aku ni :P)....? Should I maintain two cards? Or is one enough? Or... was it a mistake to destroy that third card I had???? Okes... anywayz, tq for reading iya? Assalaam aleykom WBT...

Potong, jgn tak potong... hmmm, this pic kinda looks like the CC that I just ripped to shreds...

Buat Duit Melalui Facebook!!! Yo ko?

I think many of us have seen some sort of advertisements promising loads and loads of cash just by 'logging' in to Facebook. Recently, I had to remove one 'friend' (not an actual friend la... just someone who I randomly accepted to 'befriend'), due to her constantly tagging me in cash-laden pictures, as well as because she was promoting something that went against proper way of making $$$ online (while at the same time believing that it's actually legal).

Anywayz, making money online is indeed a reality. It's just the way you go about doing it hat makes the difference. Going through proper learning channels such as creating a niche website, researching keywords, links exchange etc. actually guarantee long term income... whereas QUICK MONEY and GET RICH FAST techniques normally blow out as fast as they blew up (what ever that means :P you get the idea...). With regards to making money on FB, one of the persons was promoting a program called Infinity Downline. Basically, members pay a USD25 fee every month... and in return, members get access to loads and loads of e-books and courses. By recruiting new members to join under you (who in turn pay the USD25 per month), once you get more members in, the USD25 goes directly to you. Seems like a no brainer right? The more the merrier... which translates to... the more you get, the richer you become!!! :o

But the actual thing that bothers me is the whole concept of such programs. According to the founders, people are supposed to benefit from the super cheap courses and e-books... but in reality, no one actually cares about the courses (and I doubt anyone has ever actually REALLY used any of them). All the members would most probably only care about getting in more recruits. So in the end, its just about getting ure pockets filled at the end of the month, while actually ignoring the main (supposed) benefit of the program. This program is sort of similar to another program called Global Domains International. In GDI, members basically pay USD10 per month for a dot ws (e.g. www.mysebsite.ws) domain hosting. And according to the sales pitch, dot ws is still new and can be a thing of the future (ws for website! better than dot com? don't think so). Of course, some tools are provided and ure given some web space. But in reality, the problem is similar to Infinity Downline... where people don't actually care about owning an online presence (with a dot ws domain), but are more interested to get more downlines, who will eventually start paying the USD10 per month fee as well (where I think, USD1 goes to the upline). Furthermore, USD10 per month for web hosting is a crazy amount!!! But people still join and members still pay... Why? Because the potential to rake in massive income is far more enticing than the fact they're paying in overdose for the web hosting.

For all these programs, at the moment they have managed to 'legalize' their operations by camouflaging behind some supposedly beneficial products. I don't even know whether they'll ever be considered illegal since no laws have been passed to go against them. The sad thing is that, people get sucked into such "businesses", while sacrificing their own values. If you really2 look deep down inside (sometimes you don't even have to go that deep at all) you know that these types of business are not really genuine.

Anywayz... those are my thoughts. Kalau nak buek bisnes, I think it'd better be honest with no hidden strings attached (dah la ada strings, tersembunyi dan hidden dan invisible dan halimunan pulak tu :P)... With that said, let's hope that people get smarter and not let $$$ take precedence over everything else that is in essence, pure :) - again, whatever that means... :D

Oraits... Assalaam aleykom WBT

My first Adsense payout - Part 2

Ok. Now for part two of my first ever Adsense payout. Alhamdulillaah, everything went rather smooth... Smoother than I expected. All  I had to do was fill in the Western Union Money Transfer form, get my angka giliran... and voila! I get the money after the clerk proses itu ini dan itu :) Really have to say that getting the Adsense payout via CIMB Western Union is very convinient :) In all... it took me around 20-mins to get everything done. Plus tadi takde orang sangat... so another factor that sped up the whole process.

The amount Google paid me was a bit over USD100... the rate however was quite low. I expected it to be a bit over 3.2... but in the end was only given 3.1437433534207727756114852889046 (calculated by MS Windows XP calculator :P). Anywayz... Alhamdulillaah. After 5-years of bloggin, I get this amount... kira OK la tu ye dok :D

Oraits... mari mari sambung kerja PhD :) Hmmm... suddenly terfikir pulak. Maybe after PhD, I might wanna create my own niche website and do Adsense semi-full-time? Ok gak ye dok? Kot2 can get USD100 in half the time (i.e. 2.5 years?).... :D Assalaam aleykom WBT

My first Adsense payout - Part 1

InsyaAllaah, today I'm going to go to CIMB to obtain my first ever (Google) Adsense payout. As mentioned in my older post, alhamdulillaah, my earnings have finally reached the USD100 threshold. So, I can withdraw the money if I choose to.

Initially, since the amount is not that much yet, I thought of just letting it grow until a more comfortable number. But after reading some posts on the Internet that Google is blocking/deactivating people's accounts due to suspicion of illegal/invalid clicks... I thought... baik keluarkan saja la, sementara masih belum di-blok. Not that I'm illegally clicking (self clicking, or asking people to click) my adverts or anything... but I have heard stories that some sites are actually valid... but Google still blocks them! ... Based on my reading, some of the sites aren't actually involved in invalid activities, but since Google uses a computerized detection system to do its checking... some unlucky individuals/groups end up at the wrong end of the stick (am I using this phrase correctly? hehehehe). Humans aren't perfect... computers are also not perfect... computers take orders (programmed) from humans... so what do you expect? :P ... Answer: A super fast way to convey imperfection! Ha! Now that's a thought :P

Oraits. Anywayz, will go to CIMB bank, as I heard from a few people that they process the Western Union money transfer thinggy better than other banks. The good thing about getting the Adsense payout thru western union is that, the handling sending or whatever charges have been covered by Google. We only "lose" at the currency exchange :)

Oraits... And oh! People say you need to bring these info when collecting the payment (refer to picture)... Kalau tak bawak kalu, duit tak dapat kalo. Okes... I will update with Part-2, insyaAllaah, to see whether or not I actually get this money :D Kot2 la there's a problem with the bank ka, the money ka, my documents ka... etc. We live in an imperfect world made more imperfect by procedures and bureaucracy :) Assalaam aleykom WBT.

JPA loan sudah habis, alhamdulillaah

Alhamdulillaahirobbil'aalameen

After more than 7-years, my study loan with JPA has finally been fully paid. The actual loan was RM39,634.95... but after getting a 75% discount, the amount payable was only RM13,211.65. Really2 appreciate JPA for the discount, as if it were the original amount, memang tak abish2 lagi la sampai sekarang.

Paying actually wasn't that hard, as I had my pay deducted by RM157.00 every month...  AUTOMATICALLY!!! Kalau nak harap diri sendiri deduct? Kang adaaa je 'nafs' yang menghalang ye dok?  But it was good... as time went by, it became an amount I learned to live without. I think JPA mula2 mintak more than RM157... but as some say... "Janji bayar...Tak kisah berapa..." . So, I just janji-bayar-ed, and true to the saying, mmg JPA tak kacau :D (siap dapat elak blacklist lagi... Alhamdulillaah).

Anywayz... I got the letter today (which can be viewed below). And I think, I might be getting a 'bonus' also. Well, bukan la bonus, actually. UPM and JPA I think don't keep that close a tab on the payment schedule, so most of the time there will be overpaid amounts. In my case however, they were quite efficient... allowing only 2-months of overpay. Still, insyaAllaah, I will be able to reclaim the RM1570.00 X 2-months tu... and can treat it as a RM317.00 bonos... ... ... buleh ke camtu? Takpa... if the nafsu is not strong, then masuk la tabung haji itu amaun... hehehe... Okes... Salamaat

PS:- If only housing repayments and car loans have 75% discounts also :P

Become a millionaire thru [paid] auto surfing!!!

I thought it was all over! But after saja-saja searching thru the Internet, I managed to find this website (http://www.jutawanklik.com). Just by looking at the homepage, I think we could all agree that this is just another attempt at photocopying STUDIOTRAFFIC (and all of the other defunct autosurf scams)...

For those of you who are not familiar with autosurfing, well... basically you join a program (like Jutawanklik). Some will ask you to pay, whereas others simply allow you to create a free account. But believe me, after knowing the potential of how a paid account can make you rich faster, many opt to upgrade to a paid account. Anywayz...

Last time, when I was part of an autosurf program (Studio Traffic), what members had did was to surf a certain number of webpages (or websites) per day in order to get money. For instance, if you have a paid account of USD100, whenever you finish your surfing quota for the day (say, 100-websites)... you will get earnings equals to 1% of you account's worth (in this case 1% of 100 = USD1). So over one month, you'll get around USD30. In a bit over three months, dah kira pulang modal since you can cover the USD100 that you paid to upgrade the account in the first place... After this, of course you can opt to withdraw the money, or REINVEST your earnings to upgrade the account further (higher account worth means higher 1% per day earnings rite?) Imagine... 1% of USD1000... sehari dah USD10 tu beb!!! Sapa tak nak!!! :o

Oh! And I forgot to mention... that the website surfing quota is done by a so called AUTO SURF program... which automatically alternates between websites every 10-20 or 30 seconds or so.... You don't need to do nothin... just run the program, and voila! You're quota is filled for the day... BTW, last time... the alternating websites were that of Studio Traffic themselves, and also some other crappy websites and screen shots of famous companies....

Simple aye? Easy money.... The program I joined, Studio Traffic... ended up being closed down... leaving many (including myself) with holes in their pockets. Luckily for me, tak la banyak sangat invest. Kalu tak, mau nangis (like some of my frens who actually took out LOANS to upgrade their accounts!)

Anywayz... that's my story. I have learnt from such programs... that money never comes easily. Nothing beats old hard (and smart) work :) Jadi, in case la anybody comes to you to promote an autosurf, it's best to run away as far as you can, before he/she manages to persuade you to join... :) Oh, and also lari if anyone promotes any other types of high-yield and TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE investments!!!! LARI RUN RUN... ARRET when you get tired of course!!!

Some might ask, how to identify such scams? For me, a few simple indicators would already make my scam alarm bells ring:
  1. High return (high yield) in so little time - 1% per day was Studio Traffic's promise. Not sure about Jutawanklik. But come on... 1% per day... that's 30% per month!!! Even the stock market can't promise you such returns!!! Plus, if it were true, don't you think Donald Trump or even our own local Milan Doshi won't already be investing in such vehicles/mediums?;
  2. Easy Money - Do (almost) nothing, and get $$$!!! Ok, this has been a very old trick of these (scam) devils. If money is easy, it ain't earned money... It's stolen money... as was the case with Studio Traffic since it was a pyramid/ponzi scheme;
  3. Too much sweet talk - Similar to MLMs (even tho they're legal), you'd hear too much sweet talk about each program... run away if the talk is too sweet. You might even die if u're diabetic :P
  4. TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!! - If it's too good to be true, run away also...
Well, these are the four points I have identified for myself. Other people might have other alarm triggering facts :D Kalau nak tambah kat sini pon, amat dialu2kan :D

Anywayz... it's quite sad to see so many people joining Jutawanklik (at the side bar... you can see new members joining in. IC number pon leh nampak sekali...). But I understand how they feel. Some get tricked into the hype that this is the new way to rake in the $$$! It's Online and in a short time!!! (Hmmm.. kinda like a slogan with a nice ring to it aye?). Furthermore, it's difficult to convince people otherwise... because when you join something... you suddenly get very2 defensive and ta'asub about it. Just like when you join a brick and mortar company or even an MLM. Same feeling... and you get jumpy when people start saying things about your organization/product etc. :)

Anywayz... just for my friends out there... stay clear of such programs. Because like all pyramids/ponzis, they will close down :) And the ones who will benefit will only be the 'creators' of such schemes... and yes, of course, people who join early :D

Oraits... Assalaam aleykom

'Maybank' keeps blocking my account!

Assalaam aleykom :) Why does 'Maybank' keep blocking my account? They say there's a security threat? :o Where? When? How!!!!

Hehehe. Ok... Actually, again, this scenario is about those phishing schemes (phishing ek? or is it another cyber crime term...) that somehow gets a hold of my email address, and sends out bogus emails telling me that I need to secure my savings/current accounts. The latest message I got was this:

Dear Valued Customer

Maybank has introduced a New 2010 Security to improve our security against known and emerging account threats. You are hereby required to immediately secure your account as unsecured accounts will be terminated till further notice. This process is mandatory to all Maybank Customers.

Activate Now*
http://www.maybank2u.com.my/activation

Of course everyone (almost everyone that is) knows that this is a false email, where if you follow the instructions given by the criminal(s), might lead to your account being swept clean. But I understand that sometimes, some of the messages can be quite convincing (at first glance lah tapi). Hence, for those of you who are unsure, the best thing to do is to check the link given.

From the example above, http://www.maybank2u.com.my/activation is just a mask. The actual underlying link is http://wwwDOTrm2ureadyDOTcom/M2ULoginDOThtm .... (replaced the periods with the word DOT, kot2 ada yg gatal nak pi test link tu :P). This can be checked by hovering your mouse pointer over the link, and see what it writes at the status bar below (status bar ke? what do they call it ek?). Or if that don't please you, right click on the link, and click 'COPY LINK ADDRESS' (for Google Chrome), and past it somewhere. Notepad ke? :)

For sure, it's gonna be some weird looking link that does not start with the actual domain of your online banking website... But they might have the bank's name, such as M2ULogin.htm, or CIMBClicks.htm or even cimbbankmalaysia.com!

So, with that said... hope everyone is careful :D Hope this has been of some use to somebody :D
Assalaam aleykom WBT...

Adsense USD101

Alhamdulillaahirobbil'aalameen :D After waiting for 4-years and 2-months... finally my AdSense account has reached the magical USD100 mark :) I started putting AdSense on my first blog (http://troxion.blogspot.com) in October 2005, if not mistaken. Then, I put it on my now inactive and defunct fitness blog http://trox-fitness.blogspot.com. Then, after creating my new blog (this one)... I put it here also.

Alhamdulillaah, after a few hundred clicks, a few sign ups and a few clicked search results... I've manage to accumulate USD101.00. Thank you to all of you nice readers, those clicks have finally given me a chance to withdraw the money (since Google will only pay you your AdSense amount due if the accumulated monthly balance is USD100 or more).

AdSense balance after 4-years and 2-months... kinda pathetic... but hey, Ti's money a? :D

Anywayz... I am not bragging or anything. Because this amount was achieved over a period of more than 4 years! I mean, real AdSense experts get USD100 each week at minimum I guess? So my case is a very2 sad one actually... but a good one nevertheless... as I never really expected AdSense to give me any $$$. So finally reaching the payment threshold does feel quite nice. Alhamdulillaah :D

But, I think aa... I won't withdraw yet lah. Why? Because I don't quite need the extra cash as of now. Better keep it for a rainy day ye dok? Plus, Google isn't a Pyramid Scheme, nor are they a Ponzi whose life expectancy is around 3-6 months. So, rasa2nya selamat la kot if simpan dulu.

Anywayz... that's the story for today... :D For more AdSense stories... just Google it up :D I know there are many tips and tricks out there... kalau pandai buat, insyaAllaah can get duit lebih sket :D Selamaaat....

Another Generous African Bank Wants to Give Me Tons of Money!!! I should be surpassing BILL GATE's wealth by now :)

Again I have inherited millions of Malaysian Ringgit... But this time, it seems they are quite mad why I haven't collected the money yet :) InsyaAllaah Dr. Mr. A. Faizal, I will come ASAP!!! Hope people are not falling for these scams anymore. Once I heard, a DR from some Malaysian public university who fell for it. Lost a few hundred thousand ringgit... kasian.... Baru dapat PhD masa tu... Maybe her mind was just recovering from a serious thrashing (maybe her viva was susah?)... Tu pasal tersilap... hence causing an educator to make an uneducated decision (can that be considered an intended pun? hehehehe)... Anywayz....

Have a nice day :D Assalaam aleykom...

Work From Home With The Hope To Get Millions!!!

Assalaam aleykom WBT and a very good day.

From the last post, I've mentioned about the PC I just bought. So today, I am working from home instead of going to my lab in USM Penang :) A good change of 'angin', as I am getting rather tired of commuting and crossing the bridge on a daily basis, and giving RM11.20 per day to PLUS BHD and also PENANG BRIDGE SDN BHD :P Anywayz... working from home is rather fun, cuz you don't have anyone breathing down yer neck. Just yourself... But even I can't breathe down my own neck... Kind'a difficult to get my nose to the neck area... It's almost like the "Not being able to lick your own elbow" thinggy. Anywayz..

About working from home. Actually, when I hear the word "Work From Home"... I normally associate it with people quitting their day jobs, and doing Internet based businesses e.g. Affiliate Marketing, Internet MLMs, Get-Paid-To-Reads, Forex Trading, E-bay selling and buying and the sorts. I actually aspired to become a member of this Work From Home club once. But did not plan to quit my job lah... But in the end... I faltered. Why? Becuz I sort'a sucked in some of the promises given by the so-called Internet-business GURUs...

Duit duit...

On the Internet, you can see so many claims of making big bucks! And it all seems so easy peasy! I can bet you 1/4 my life savings (I am no risk taker, so 1/4 is a lot oredi :P) that almost no Internet based website will tell you the hardships of starting an online venture. If you do a Google search on the topic, you'd probably land on those 1-page (very2 long one page) websites, telling you from A-Z about how they made it BIG on the Internet. At the same time, they also claim that even donkeys can do it... so why not YOU? (Me, you, everyone else whose getting less than $50,000 per week :P). The normal thing they're promoting is their E-book, or E-course, or what ever, that will tell you how to make it big online. And in many cases, people end up buying these things... cuz they're relatively cheap anywayz.

To cut things short, from my experience, there's no easy way of doing it. Really... Not easy at all. What some of these e-books (etc.) are saying is not the entire truth. They make it look so easy (not simple), yet to master the world of Internet business (let it be small or big) needs years of experience and elbow grease. I am not saying ALL e-courses are bad... but most that pop up first after Google searches (due to playing around with SEOs I reckon) don't tell the whole truth...

But even with that said, the concept is simple tho... You can make it big online, if you follow the necessary steps. Simple steps :)

But never equate the SIMPLE with EASY :D Example: Losing weight is simple! But it ain't easy! Get the idea?

Same as making it big online. Simple concepts (e.g. big market of web surfers, hence high probability of demand). But it ain't easy to get people to your website! I mean, there're like 50-billion other people out there building five or six websites each! :P So the competition is also like nothing the world has ever seen before :) So sendiri mau ingat :)

But anyways... working from home is nice :) Especially when you get tom make lost of $$$. But just make sure we do it the right way :) And not the ad-hoc way... or short-term way... or what ever wrong way :D Some websites like www.sitesell.com for example, provide an almost honest outlook at making $$$ online :) So going to sites such as those would be beneficial and worth the effort.

As for me, I would like to make $$$ online also. But at the moment, I think I will start to work from home doing PHD first. After PHD, insyaAllaah, I will learn the ropes. Hehehehe. Okes. Selamaat

I am the 'rich'-ed :P And here are who I make richer each month...

It is as they say... the end of the month! :) Not actually the end of August, but the end of the salary a.k.a. GAJI month :) Supposedly, tomorrow is GAJI TIME!!! It's when all we govt. people (most of us lah...) will get our monthly salaries. So, for a short while, we are all 'thousand-airs'... For a short while, our bank accounts will be full! For a short while... we feel at ease because the Maybank2u.com ACCOUNTS DETAILS page is no longer like the image shown below (screen captured at around 3-5 minutes ago):

Anywayz... this screen will be no more cometh 2moro :)

Alhamdulillaah :D Money will insyaAllaah come...

But as it comes... it goes just as fast. It is normally on the same day we were made 'rich'... that we make others rich... and richer to the richest! These people/companies/parties owe me some thanks, because now they are on their respective yachts sailing the seas of the Caribbean!!! Maybe even stopping at the Anguilla Beaches! :P Anyway... they are:
  1. Public Bank (Islamic) - I am buying my car from you
  2. Pejabat Bekalan Air , Penang - Alhamdulillaah, aplenty water each month
  3. TNB - Electricity people, you are thunder-clappily-rich!
  4. M. Derafi Hassan - RM320 per month to you... for a very comfi. terrace house

So tomorrow will be the day insyaAllaah, that the $$$ will come. And of course, it will also be the day that it will go... But takpe. Cuz in every coming and going... there will always be next month! Hehehehe... insyaAllaah that is.

Okes. Thank you for reading this point-less post :D Salaaam and Ramadhaan Mubarak to all Muslims :D

I am a 70-cent Millionaire!!!! Walawehhh!!!

Today I have nothing to blog about. But I still have the urge to blog is there. So here goes... the blogging process will start now!

I checked my Adsense account today. For those of you who are not familiar with what Adsense is... it is basically Google punya way of letting people place text-based (and now they also have image-based) advertisements on their websites, which is (and normally should be) highly related to the website content. On this blog though, the ads are rather random, because the nature of this blog is random! :P So not that much targeted ads, and sometimes you can also see very2 improper ads as well (especially the Malay ones...). Anywayz....

I have just logged in to my account! And Walaweh!!! I AM RICH! I am an ADSENSE MILLIONAIRE!!! .... millionaire minus a few million, where the amount adds up (down) to.... 70-cents for the month of August :D Hehehehe. But aaaa.... this can be considered a "good" month as at least I have 70-cents this early in the month. LOL! :P Anywayz... 70-cents is still money. And Alhamdulillaah for that :D Alhamdulillaah for everything! :D
I think Google misplaced the decimal point lah. And they also forgot a few zeroes.

So, that is what I am blogging about today. Of course, this would not qualify as bragging, as 70-cents can only buy me half-a-plate of rice with some lauk-pauk in Penang. Hehehehe. Anywayz... that is my Adsense story. Salamaatz!!!

I am 7.7 million dollars rich!!! Thank you Mr.Marck...

Since I have no idea on what to blog (due to P-P, which is short for PhD Pressure), I will share with you an email that "will" make me rich beyond my wildest dreams!!! YABE DABE DOOO bak kata omputeh zaman batu.

"My attorney", Mr. Marck Walsh, just informed me that I am inheriting a fortune. And, I'd better believe him, because he's an attorney... From LONDON! I mean, you gotta believe a Mat Salleh rite? Anyway, just in case any of you want to meet me later this month, I will be on my yacht... sailing the seas of the carribean islands. USD7.7 million dollars... Hmmmm. What else to do than just buying a (small of course) yacht? Hmmmmm.... Ok la. Think I'll put one some new sport rims for my Kelisa. That'll be the icing on the cake :D hehehehe....

Ok ok. On a more serious note... of course la. I will not be USD... or even RM7.7 million richer yet... (ada harapan tu :P). Of course also, I am talking about those scam emails that some people still, unfortunately fall for. For the case of this post, the scam I got was very2 clear. Too short and not even convincing! Nak kelentong duit berjota2 pon tak nak buat bebetul. Apa laa ini olang. Please refer to figure 1 (macam tulis paper konfrens pulak refer2 to figure...):

Figure 1: Scam email promising 7.7 million

Just thinking la... what can they do with my phone number ek? Call me ka and convince me even more? Hmmm. Maybe. Nak try ke? :P hehehehe....

But I also do realize, that there are longer versions of this kind of thing. And ones that are a little bit more convincing also got lots. We got the Nigerian thinggy, the Iraqi woman thinggy, other-inheritance-from-some-rich-person thinggy... and I suspect, in the days and years and decades to come... there will be other scam thinggies promising $$$ for everyone. And I bet U Me... the later ones are gonna higher level in the quality of FITNAH :) Better "reward" structure, and a more convincing punch line! Something closer to the quality of Dajjaal I'd think. Hehehehe...

With all this said and written... would just like to share based on experience and knowledge... that there is no free lunch. Every one knows that kan... No one (who you don't know, especially) will want to give away money... or a house, or even a boat to sail the Caribbean seas for that matter... for free! Unless of course, U're uncle or dad or grand father or whoever related to you put U in his/her will... then lain la (if dat happens, I would like to get free money from you if you don't mind. Hua hua hua! But as loan laaa... no interest one :P). It is just too absurd.

Why I say this, is because there was a case in 2006 kalau tak silap (or was it early 2007)... a PHD holder, from one of the public unis, got conned of a few hundred thousand of her hard earned cash (I think it was a 'she'). Fell prey to one of those Nigerian email scams if I remember correctly. Manyak kesian ooo. Donno for what reason, she beleived the thing. And went all the way to give away the $$$. BUT... still... Maybe she had her reasons la. Maybe time tu was a difficult part in her life, and probably also, she was mentally vulnerable. Wallahua'lam. May Allaah help her thru her turmoil (for I am sure that the incident is haunting her still... mentally, and financially).

Wannnywayz... Let us all pray to Allaah, that we don't fall prey to any of these scams... or can they be called Fitnah's also? Aku ni men bantaai je guna perkataan ni. Hehehehehe...

Okes. Apa2 pon... arigato for reading :D

House Buying with After Burners :)

Real Estate... Rumah... Apartment... Bungalow Houses... Terrace or Link Houses...

Some say (such as Azizi Ali and Milan Doshi --> Might want to Google them in case interested) that properties, or property investment is one of the sure ways of making lots and lots of money. From my limited experience in the field (reading about it only la... i don't own investment props yet), I know that this is true! I mean, the basic equation is quite simple...

Buy a house (in a potentially good area) --> Wait for a while ---> Sell for profit!

OR

Buy an apartment (also in a good area) --> Rent it out (while lessening monthly installments) --> Keep on renting or one day SELL!

OR

Buy a low cost house --> Rent it out (while as the same time maybe eliminating monthly installments) --> Sell if you want

Seems so simple kan? Well, it becomes simple thru experience... insya-Allaah. But how do we accumulate that experience? Macam mana orang2 macam saya, the normal income people, can start to save $$$ to buy houses :)

I've been to Azizi Ali's seminar once, and from what I see, you firstly need money (lots of it) to make money. For Azizi, I think he didn't face that much of a problem to start in property investment... because he himself is a CAPTAIN! Makes around 20K++ per month I hear... I hear la :D So to start getting big loans must have been a no brainer :)

Anyway, I am not going to write in a pessimistic manner here :) Instead, I will attempt to optimize my thinking, and hopefully yours to, and who knows, sparks will form that might ignite a nuclear-explosion of money making ideas!!! Hua hua hua! (ok, enuf laughing)

In someones book (I think Azizi's), he talks about AFTERBURNER INCOME... Ok, has to be his book, because after burners are related to a plane's jet engine.... after burner income is basically monetary sources from outside our day jobs. Among them are:

  1. A part-time business - This can be your very own Goreng Pisang stall to an established MLM business (don't like MLMs tho...)
  2. Books - I know two people who are doing quite well writing their own teen and adult novels :)
  3. Online Income - Maybe become an Amazon affiliate, and Adsense master or even sell your own stuff on E-bay!
  4. Selling besi buruk - I saw somebody near my frens house, who has a bungalow like combined terrace house... and he sells besi buruk :)
  5. Investment in other mechanisms - Maybe if you started investing at a very2 young age, by now, the money should have grown into a hefty sum... so can use to buy extra house :D
  6. and of course... etcetera, etcetera etcetera (macam dalam the original THE KING and I lakonan mendiang Yull Brinner :P)
So I think, I too need to have some sort of after burner income. Because,... fuel ain't getting cheaper (but Pak Lah is getting older... kueng kueng kueng :P). Costs of food and other stuff also ain't gonna drop. Education ain't gonna be free or cheap for long... and of course... cars ain't gonna come falling from the skies!!! (But I heard fish did once? Betul ke?)

Oleh yg demikian, let us all start after burning! Burn our behinds to after burn after after burner income!!!

But of course, don't go too far to only think about money... and of course properties. After burn after burn jugak... but of course, Wasathiah needs to be there (moderation or kesederhanaan) :D For without which, pure life will cease to exist : Instead, we would be turned into money-chasing zombies of the Donald Trump world! (ok, I am starting to merepek...)

Anywayz... just wondering if anyone has any monetization ideas that they'd like to share :D Plz do share them , for the benefit of us all insya-Allaaah :D
