Alhamdulillaah. It was far from a frustrating (early) morning... Spain defeated Germany once again. And now, they are in the final of the FIFA World Cup 2010!!! The scoreline seems to be a repeat of the Euro 2008 final... only this time the goal came from a spaghetti haired defender by the name of Carles Puyol. A nicely headed in 73-rd minute goal I'd have to say... SPAIN 1 - GERMANY 0 ...

And alhamdulillaah also, my  HD monitor worked well with John's Astro BYOND decoder... so I got a glimpse of what BYOND HD had to offer. Can see the football pitch with extreme detail ooo... rumput2 n tanah2 yg tercampak2 dan tercabut2 were crystal clear!!! Lawa jugak la. May consider buying one of those LED TVs and the BYOND decoder once I have enough money to waste. Hehehe. (when will that happen.....? not in the current future of course). Owh... BTW, we had to use my HD monitor since John's big LCD TV sudah kaput! Just bought it from Sen-Q... but after three visits to them, still takda orang datang repair or replace. Mau kena ini Sen-Q...

Anywayz... This is Spain's first World Cup final, I think? And semoga mereka akan menang apabila turun menentang Belanda/Netherlands pada.... pada... whenever the final will be held. Will Google the date later insyaAllaah :D GO FERNANDO TORRES!!! Even tho you haven't scored a single goal yet....

Tonite is the match between Spain and Germany. Planning to watch it with John and RR (Raja Azhar). Will bring my HD monitor to John's house since dia punya big LCD TV sudah rosak and dia ada Astro BYOND :D Anywayz... hopefully Spain wins... but its gonna be a tough fight against the Germans... I mean, they are like the so perfect team (Germany I mean) this time round....

Anywayz... off to John's house then. Viva Espanyol!!!

InsyaAllaah, there will be another friendly football/soccer match tomorrow afternoon/evening :) It's gonna be the Ad-Hoc ANSARA team against I-dont-know-who :) Anywayz, I am just looking forward to a nice game. I as Mr. Veteran will go onto the field tomorrow after undergoing a Freddy Ljunberg makeover :D Hopefully, with this new look, the assistant ref will refer to me as a veteran with a sting. It's been quite a while since I last put on my soccer boots on. The last time was... man, I don't even remember. It figures though, since my boots were covered with cob-webs after spending most of its post-store-shelf life on my show rack... which must have been an agonizing experience for the poor pair of shoes :P Anywayz...

Got an email from a friend, informing there was a friendly match in town. Since I was back in Bangi, the match in Puchong was totally attend-able! Missed a few friendly soccer matches due to being away in Penang. So now dah in Bangi, kena mau main.

The game was taxing... for me that is. Being inactive for sooo long took its toll. My quadriceps hurt like hell during and AFTER the game, and I got 'pancet' faster than usual. But Alhamdulillaah, my cigarette slowdown of 1-cig per day (max 2 kalau tak terkawal :P) seems to be paying off! Even tho I got pancet, I still managed to play the match until the end... with recovery between 'pancet' sessions being satisfactory :D

My team, which was represented by ex-MRSM students, went up against an Indian team from I don't know where. We finally lost 5-1 (or was it 6-1?), but what do you expect from a group of overweight oldies.... :P hehehehe.

Ok. Which brings me to the topic... oldies :) After the game, as usual everyone shook hands and thanked each other for a good match. At the very end, the linesman (assistant referee) came up to me with a smiling face. Why was he smiling so widely? I was thinking that he wanted to praise me for playing well... but that was very2 unlikely since I played like a sack of sand with legs with skills comparable to a 4-year old :P Anywaz, he eventually reached me. He shook my hand and smiled.... which was a very2 polite thing to do... and then, he also showed great respect, which was very2 weird.... Did he think I was Mawi? Hahahaha!!! Laast sekali... he delivered his message... "Oh... bagus juga. Ada veteran..." ....

Uit? Tercengang dan Terkedu was my initial reaction... but quickly cover-line with a soft counter smile. I was labeled a VETERAN!!!?? Uwaaaaaaaaa!!! Man, I have grown so old I reckon. My gray hair must have been the obvious give away that I was.... 40? Body weight also didn't help as an 86 kilo guy will not like look youthful. Hehehehe.... Hmmm... A veteran... Anywayz... itu lah ceritanya. I am now a veteran. At 32.5 years old (still trying not to mention 33 :P), I am already a veteran. Lepas ni balik UPM, if wanna play football/soccer, I will join the veteran's team.... Uwaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

I reckon this year will be the last for the reign of Rafa Benitez as Liverpool manager. Last night was very embarrassing as we "lost" to Stoke City... It was a draw though, where [STOKE 1-1 LIVERPOOL], but since Liverpool played soo soo bad, it's equal to a loss. Even though I turned on the tele at 61-minutes into the game, seeing the scoreline and the way Liverpool were playing, I knew the goal must have been a stroke of luck, or something NOT from a set-piece. Well, I was sorta right since it was very2 scarppy, and scored by a very unlikely player... Sotirios Kyrgiakos. Tp tak pe la, as long as they were leading. Sakit hati pon sakit hati la...

But then Stoke dok attack, attack and attack. Dah tak sedap hati dah. Especially when seeing Liverpool play worst than the Brunei team in the 1990's Malaysian Semi Pro league :'( ... Last sekali, in the 90th minute or so, Stoke equalized in what seemed to me, a deserved goal. Even as a Liverpool fan I say SYABBAS Stoke! Sumbat sebijik lagi biar padan muka Liverpool yg rasa2nya dah terlebih mabok dok bantai Carlsberg.

Anywayz, long story short... Liverpool drew. Even though Kuyt had a chance to win it in the dying seconds... memang dah takdir... his header hit the post. Nak buek camno? Okes... Liverpool, this year is a gonner already. Europa also looks unlikely one... Just concentrate on improving the team saja la. GET MOURINHO! GET MOURINHO! GET MOURINHO! (I am not an expert, hence I see this as a good solution...). And also... as my fren [Dr] Zaki Samsudin says... NGONG is very very the NGOK!

Okey. Last nite... ok ok. Before night time... in the afternoon till after asar, I sorta put my malas cap on, and slept from somewhere after zuhr until around 4:30pm. This was in Bangi. Then, felt fresh to drive back to Penang, which I bertolak-ed from Bangi at around 6:00pm, and arrived safely Alhamdulillaah in Nibong Tebal around 11:o0pm (stop semayang n makan japs).

So, back to last nite... :) I was segar bugar la. Was not planning to be segar bugar, but was segar bugar anywayz. So, could catch the match between Liverpool and Aston Villa lah :) Match start pukul 12:00am gitu... and whoa wallaweh waratung klup singko rohoya... Liverpool sekarang sudah dasat la main. I saw a great improvement in their game. Passing of the ball was good. Defense was strong... Steven Gerrard and Riera were... mak datuk, superb! Cuma Torres je tak berapa nak shine semalam. Tapi takpe... he forced a penalty! (even though I thought Brad Friedel did not deserve that RED CARD... a yellow card at most!).

Wannywayz... ended up... 5-0! Melampau la Liverpool sekarang. Syabbash! Syabbash! My team has won again. And with a quite redundantly-excellent scoreline! :D And, Man U is also helping a bit, by losing to Fullham 2-0, with Rooney and Scholes (the keeper wannabe?) being sent off... Also... Chelsea... The blues... thank you also for falling at Spurs :)

There still is hope for Liverpool insyaAllaah. And may they win this year. Keep up the good work oh Anfield greats! Just don't be too snobbish la... cuz snobbish2 ni lama2 akan fall down.... selamaaat.....

Alhamdulillaaah. Something yg mmg jarang berlaku dalam donia bola sepak Inggeris! Manchester United, get's their a#@e kicked on their own turf! I mean, losing 4-1 (against Liverpool) at their home ground Old Trafford, must'a been a real blow to Ferguson, and the rest of the team. I mean... FOUR ONE. Banyak gol tu :[

But anywayz, I am happy :) As a Liverpool fan, I am truly truly happy. 4-1 is a hard to believe scoreline. And again, I have to repeat... against one of the best teams in the world, and on their home ground! Liverpool showed their grit last night. Even though I didn't give them high hopes for the match against Man U... Liv showed their stuff and performed :) Bagush bagush :D
I am truly ecstatic. Still sucking in the 4-0 win against Real Madrid. But a 4-1 demolition of Man U is a dream come true. :) Syabbas Liverpool... Syabbas :D

Annywayz... looking at the bigger picture. Liverpool still has to struggle to become number one. IF... they continue to show the same form till the end of the season, with the hope that Man U will flop one or two of their matches... then, they can be the Barclay's English Premiere League champions! But since the season is almost drawing to a close... this might just be a too difficult task to perform. Especially to ask Man U to flop after this... I see that mostly unlikely. Man U jarang2 flops... and once they do, they'd be looking back at their errors, and correcting all the stuff that went bad.

But anywayz... :D Liv has WON! And I am a happy fan now... I am really2 happy. Again, I am going to suck all of this in while it lasts :D All da best for the rest of the season my club! Bravo!!!

Alhamdulillaaah :) Liverpool has pulled it off again! And what a surprising scoreline! FOUR NILL!!! Man, I could never imagine this scoreline. Now it's confirmed... BORO are better than Real :P(refer to this post's title) hehehehe....

Steven Gerrard struck twice after the opener from Fernando Torres. Then, Dossena (who dat?) scored his first ever Liverpool goal in the dying minutes... What a night for the merseysiders :) What a night for ANFIELD!!!

Good for Torres as he's playing and scoring again. With Stevie G and Torres on the field, it's difficult for Liverpool not to perform. Especially when both are playing at their full potentials!

I'm just gonna suck all this in while it lasts. Cuz I think by now, everyone knows Liverpool. Mcm Chipsmore dia nye konsistensi. One minute they're the best team in the world, the next minute they're losing to Sanguesepese (don't even ask me what league that team's in :P). 

But nonetheless, a very2 good win. Very2 good game (I think, cuz I got this news from my fren's SMS). Very2 good result over all!!! Okes. Bravo for the excellent show oh my team :D

Hahaha... I know the topic is not a valid statement, because I haven't considered all the other unseen variables in football. But, as a pissed-off fan (hey, I have every right to be), I can only say that. After a splendid show down in Spain (click to goto previous post)... Liverpool have lost at home (well, even though playing away, it's home, as in England as compared to the Bernebeu, Spain...). And they lost to Boro :( Moddlesboro, a team that is not fancied at all to lift the English Premiere League... even in the next 25-years!... I think lah :P

For this match... yeps... I stayed up. And since it kicked off at around 11:00pm, it was not that much of an effort. As usual, I did not put high hopes for a big win. At least a draw... But a 2-0 scoreline? Aiyaaa.... Anfield has indeed seen another red-(faced) day. It all started with a (very2 tak sengaja) own goal by Xabi Alonso... but hey, that's ok. He really2 couldn't do anything about it. But a second goal? :( Sigh... I didn't see it... who needs to when Ure team has gone down 2 to ZIT! Nod out of MULUS! :P

Anywayz... just a post to vent out my frustration. Not to say that I'm totally dissapointed... I will insyaAllaah still be a Liverpool fan. But please oh my team, give us at least a longer period for happy moments :D

Alhamdulillaah. I awoke at around 4:00 am. Unplanned it was though. But I was glad because it coincided with the time my favorite team played :D LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB! But I was a bit pessimistic, because they were up against a no-need-to-introduce Spanish league GIANT! REAL MADRID FC! Both financially and reputation-ly (is there such a word? :P). I did not expect Liverpool to win actually, especially with their talismanic captain, Steven Gerrard on the sidelines (he did come on as a sub tho! Yeaho!!!), and not at full fitness.

Anywayz... Watched the match, and surprisingly... I did not doze off! I mean... tak ngantuk la pulok! Plus, Liverpool was playing quite ok football :) Real Madrid were also good, but they lacked the proper finishing... which was a good thing. Real did manage to find the back of the net once, but Alhamdulillaah, off side. Hehehehehe... So selamat.

But I was really2 happy in the 83rd minute (I think)... When Hienze (ex Man-U ek?) fouled Dirk Kuyt on the right side of the penalty box. Man... this was a chance! And out of all the players... it was a (relatively) short jew that scored :P kekeke. Benayoun la pulak yg sumbat goal. Tapi takpe la... Yahudi pon yahudi lah. Janji goal. And Alhamdulillaah, Liverpool played well and hard until the end of the game to hold on to that lead. 1-0... Liverpool's way! Bravo my team :D And bravo Rafa Benitez :D

Now wait for the second leg to be played at Anfield. Harap2 they will do well on their own turf... :D

Was reading the paper today... Man U just beat WBA (or was it Bolton? Tak ingat) 5-0. Dayem... they are good this Red Devil team.

Wish Liverpool had the same determination and also skill. Have been a Anfield loyal since the days of John Barnes and Peter Beardsley... but nowadays... the team that I've so long sokong, is becoming so inconsistent over the past few years :( Wish they could be much like Man U... I mean, they play really2 well, and have to say that Fergy is taking in the very2 good players to beef up the squad.

But nevertheless... still am a Liverpool fan :D Just hope they would play better and win more matches... and also let those wins be deserved wins. Not wins based on gol2 bodo like own goals, goal2 yg tak segangaja masuk goal, goal2 yg bukan dari engineered set pieces... dll :D

Okes. Apa2 pon, take some lesson from Man U oh my Liverpool... and insya-Allaah, you can be champions once again!!!! Yabadabedooooo!!!!

Assalaam aleykom wahai pembaca2 ku yang molia. Sudah agak lama daku tidak mengupdatekan blog ku ini. Hampir naik sesawang jadi nya. Namun Alhamdulillaah, nasib baik 'spider2' di dunia siber tidak ada jaringan web sebageymana labah2 di ceiling rumah kita. Kalau tidak, nescaya blog daku ini sudah penuh dilitupi sesawang :)

Anywayz, mengapa saya tidak update blog sekian lama? Ada 2 sebab musabab utama:

1) Saya cuti panjang dari start raya haji hari tu. Perjalanan yg saya tempuhi agak jauh... dan juga bervariasi :) Qualify jadik musafir sebenar : Penang --> Kedah --> Bangi --> Batu Pahat --> Puncak Alam --> Bangi --> Bagan Datoh --> Bangi --> LCCT --> Yogyakarta --> (pusing2 Yogya) --> LCCT --> Bangi --> Penang --> Kulim --> Penang. :D Jadi, begitulah juga sebab nya mengapa dah lama bebenau saya tak update blog ni :)

2) Kerja PhD saya mmg agak memerlukan perhatian skarang. Oleh kerna cuti panjang, bila dah balik ke makmal, mmg nak kena refresh balik memory sepantas kilat supaya kerja berjalan semula. Alhamdulillaah, lepas 2-3 hari, ok dah :D 

Anywayz... since saya masih cuba nak kuatkan balik memori topik saya ni... meh saya nak kongsi dengan pembaca2 semua mengenai peng-ekstrakan warna padang bola :) Nengok gambau bawah ni ha... :) Ini sebahagian kocik dari apa yg saya dok buat... (yang ni bukan lah 100% kerja saya... cuma saya modify kerja2 otai yg dah pakar makar bab imej processing...)

Tujuan utama ialah utk mengekstrak region (kawasan) padang bola sahaja :) Jadi, cara paling mudah ialah dengan menarik keluar warna2 lain, dan mengekalkan hanya warna padang (in this case... hijau) :D Jadik, oleh yang demikian... utk memudahkan kerja... saya telah meng-konvertkan warna representasi RGB kepada satu representatsi warna lain... yakni HSV (HSI pon buleh kalau nak... sebab sama je lebih kurang). Konversi ini penting pasal kalau nak proses dalam RGB, ya'amat la terlalu banyak konsiderasi. Bila dah jadik HSV... maka mudah sedikit kerna warna2 diwakilkan dengan percentage :D Oleh itu, saya memprogremkan supaya warna hijau dikekalkan :D Hasilnya, region hijau dijadikan kaler putih sebagai BINARY MAP utk pemprosesan setersunya :D Hasilnya adalah sebigini dong... :D 

Itu lah dia suku dari suku kerja saya... hehehehehe. Harap2 post ini telah memberikan sedikit ilmu kepada para pembaca :D Kalau gak faham... gak apa sih.
